Brushing My Teeth. This is and has been part of my daily routine, but something that I found out the hard way: smoking masks dental issues. As soon as I quit smoking I had a lot of dental work pop up last fall… expensive dental work unfortunately. I try to take extra care of my teeth now, especially because while I quit smoking I still have the coffee consumption… that’s not going away anytime soon!

Working Out. I have started getting back into the habit of working out, and the more I work out- the more weight I lose, then the better I feel. Quitting smoking was great for my lungs and my overall health, but like most people I put on weight and am slowly taking that off. It feels good to set goals and make them.
I like seeing my clothes fit better and better; I like seeing definition in my arms and muscles. I like seeing sweat our out on the treadmill. Like I tell people, “I have mountains to climb…” (in reference to why I am doing it and my lifetime dreams). Hopefully I can keep this routine up and tackle a 14,000+ foot mountain in Colorado next year.

Journaling. I have not been able to get back into the routine of journaling, but I would like to. I started a second journal last year which will encompass pages 3,001-6,000, but I have not written in it as much just yet. I have a lot of associations with smoking so it’s a trigger that I want to avoid. I have too many other things that are a higher priority right now, so it’s on the back burner.
I do feel much better when I am journaling I will admit that. I feel like I get a lot of release, which is something that we all need: an outlet. I’m also publishing my first journal this year… maybe that will help get me motivated to get back in the swing of things!
Personal Journal. This is my first journal that I started in 2005 and completed in 2008. Well, this is two thirds of my journal, there are still 1,000 pages that didn’t fit (They kept spilling over). I have worked out so many issues and thoughts in my journal, some encompassing death of loved ones and hurts from my past… but I really touched God through this journal and vice versa. I know that this was a gift given to me- as a way to touch the divine inside me. I worked through and discovered so many truths in my hour after hour of journaling… like I said, not all paths we take are conventional!
There is a lot of God in this journal- literally. The runic texts at the top and bottom of the pages are favorite scriptures of mine- ones that really touched me. One time I saw someone looking at the pages and they asked if I worshiped the Devil. I laughed and said “Good, Lord no, why would you think that?” Their response was “Well that devil writing at the top I thought you were.” I then proceeded to show them the code that I use and they were really taken aback. They didn’t quite know how to process that what they’d been told (Runic texts are all of the devil) wasn’t always right! What a concept!
I am still planning on publishing this as an art book this year- a lot of pages I know, but that’s what I somehow feel led to do!

I hate arrogance. I hate stuck up people. I hate when people think that everything in this world revolves around them, and you have to go out of your way to appease them. You see it at work, on the road, in stores… it’s unfortunately all around us.
When I would be on the road or playing in bars and clubs, I always ignored the outrageously gorgeous girls who spent 2 hours getting their hair and make-up done, and spent the time talking to their friends instead… what I call the “Trotters” are the girls who have that “I know you want to stare at me because I’m so beautiful” mentality. Truth is- I DON’T want to stare at you, because that level of pride just makes me sick… can anyone say Gold’s Gym?
You see it in traffic, where people cut in line at the last minute because their time is obviously more important than anyone else that waited in line like everyone else. With store experiences, I don’t know if it’s arrogance or stupidity. There are the people who just dart out of aisles without thinking “Hey, I just might cut someone off or hit someone that is coming”- or those who stop in the middle of the lane. Because again, the world revolves around them and we should go out of our way to make sure you are okay!

Today, another series of storms ran through middle TN. I had just read about the Lunar Eclipse and the time. Several minutes later, the rain stopped. The clouds parted and the sun came out. I've heard so much about the solar flares, I just wanted to take a few minutes to honor the life giving sun and embrace and contemplate.

About the Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse
There's a Full Moon/Total Lunar Eclipse in "visionary" Sagittarius today (4:14 pm EDT), the sign of the hopeful archer. Sagittarius governs our beliefs and personal philosophy of life and also rules long-distance travel, the law, clergy, and higher education. This eclipse is occurring at 24 degrees of Sagittarius, smack near the Galactic Center. A Full Moon Eclipse is a time of potent release when we empty out our stale contents. It is also a time for wondrous reflection and illumination.
Eclipses often speed up events and can usher in fateful changes that permanently alter the landscape around us. Their influence is said to last up to six months. Whatever house this eclipse is falling in today, in our charts, is where we are presently engaged in a search for more meaning and where we may be needing to tweak, dismantle, or defend some of our beliefs.

The June 15, 2011 Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Calls for a "Letting Go" of Something. The Lunar Eclipse on the Sagittarius Moon/Gemini Sun axis brings an emotional time, possibly having to do with endings of some kind. The Moon is about change and she is often a trigger to set things in motion that have been "lounging in the wings" waiting for a call to action. Additionally, with the Moon in the shadow of the Earth feelings from the subconscious and unconscious are often brought to the surface for us to look at. Emotions and concerns that have been ignored for oh-so-long, will fight their way out of the darkness to be heard. It is time to examine what has been hidden. Time to examine and sort the people, things, and emotional attachments in your life. Are they positive or negative? Can they be changed? The tighter we hold on to the outworn aspects of our life the less room there is to allow new empowering energy to come in.
The June 15, 2011 Lunar Eclipse Calls for a Deepening of Communication. This June 15 lunar eclipse positions the Sun conjunct the South Node in Gemini. The South Node always pertains to the past in some way. It highlights those things that once served us but no longer are of benefit. Thus, the South Node conjunct the Sun in Gemini points to ways of thinking and communicating that are no longer serving us as they should. Gemini energy is fast thinking, fast talking, and multi-tasking with a sometimes rather superficial gathering of facts. A somewhat exaggerated saying with a grain of truth is that a Gemini "never met a piece of information that he/she didn't love." The downfall to this frantic gathering of information is that the brain becomes weary and the stress level sky rockets.
The Moon is conjunct the North Node in Sagittarius. This is an indication that it is time to channel our mental activities into a higher spiritual or philosophical purpose. It could indicate an advanced study such as college or foreign travel. However it manifests, the remedy is to channel the thinking into a purpose and strategy.

I still remember the day my mother showed me where middle “C” was on the piano. I already knew a little music theory from grade school. By that I mean I knew what the notes were on the staff and what the notes themselves were. I just kind of went from there and taught myself things.
I can read right hand- I have to really, really concentrate on the left hand reading and I cannot do it fast. I just memorized all of my music and played by ear my whole life. In my earlier days I was good- very good. I won state and national competitions; I even qualified for quite a few scholarships.
I regret that I allowed a selfish person destroy everything. I was trying to be sentimental, so I sat her down one night to play a wonderful piece by Beethoven. I had already won competitions playing that song, and I managed to play it better that time than ever before. When I was done I looked over at her and she didn’t bat an eye, she just said “Can I ask you why you decided to waste my time with that?” She was a classical music fan so I knew it wasn’t the type of music. I had to conclude that everyone else was wrong and she was right… so I quit playing.
I still play now and then- and have off and on over the years. But I deeply regret that such a selfish, childish, self centered person could say and do such things… and trust me- she knew exactly what she was doing. Control is a horrible thing… as I repeatedly found out with her and others.

Communion. I do believe in the principle and act of communion. Despite what many believe- you don’t need to be in a church or cathedral to partake. You don’t have to have the blessing or permission of someone else- you simply have to believe. I do believe in renewing such things as the divine inside of us, and partake of this ritual every time I complete a lifetime dream actually.
I hate people who think that they have to step on you to get ahead in life. I suppose that you could say that this is mostly a work thing that I hate, and it’s true that I see it mostly at the work place. I’ve seen it in just about every position that I’ve held (except when I owned and ran my own company).
I had a boss who would always take credit for my work, and I had fellow co-workers who would throw me under the bus to try and get ahead. It’s almost comical to see people kissing up and kissing arse, especially when you can step back and look from the outside. As funny as it is, it still drives me nuts because it’s a show of falsehood.

I hate people who use Religion to judge and manipulate people. It’s not just about “Killing in the name…” it’s about “controlling in the name”. Trust me, I am well versed in the scriptures, and could find a way to make a convincing argument that a Pepsi or Coca-Cola Machine brought demons into the world. You can find an interpretation of just about everything… and when people do that to prove their point I get the feeling that God’s in Heaven smacking his head saying, “But I never said that! I never meant that!!”
I don’t want that kind of blood on my hands- ever. I have listed so many examples about this in my photo stream so I won’t re-hash them all out here. I still hold fast that I believe that God is Love. And the actions we carry should be loving actions… if they are not then they’re not of God.
I make no profession that I am perfect or always act out of love… but I try. I wish more of the world would too.
