The Supreme Court in America has been doing some evil sketchy things these past few days. They've reduced peoples' rights after possible police brutality if they weren't read their Miranda Rights. In the midst of a surge in gun violence across the country they've made it harder to enforce gun safety laws throughout the country and today they may be overturning Roe. In the midst of this, some states have already started the process to ban birth control, specifically at this time IUDs and the morning after pill. The extreme need to control a woman's body and give guns more rights than a woman in my country is terrifying. Meanwhile, the supreme court justices have been granted far greater protections after a couple of protests than Anita Hill or Christine Blasey Ford ever were.

I rarely take photographs of myself so it's kind of funny that I chose a day where I had basically just gotten off a plane from Chicago to Edinburgh without sleeping (The day before,, mind you, I had my first endoscopy and colonoscopy!), and instead of freshening up, I hit the ground running to get vegan haggis for the first time (It's actually REALLY good and I hadn't had solid foods in awhile!) and see modern art. Priorities....flying for me and not sleeping feels basically the same as the second day of a music festival when I have stayed up all night editing photos....which is what I was doing the weekend before my endoscopy and colonoscopy....I expect so much of my body and wonder when it's just going to say, "Peace out, I'm done here!"
Anyway, I walked into this bathroom at The Modern Two after seeing an exhibit called Women in Revolt, documenting the feminist movement in Scotland and England since the 70s (I just loved the sign If Men Could Get Pregnant, Abortion Would Be a Sacrament!) The colors here just immediately brightened up my mood and I instantly felt like I could walk ten more miles with 30+ pounds of my camera equipment, which I then did (more vegan haggis for dinner!)
I'm rambling. What I am trying to say is that I liked this bathroom and vegan haggis and feminism and colors.

The end of the line for this old mine train at Honester Slate Quarry
With a Ghostly abortion in the clouds looking over it.
We've all seen this lady and her van on Southfield, just south of 12 mile
Had camera. Had film.
I had to stop and ask for a picture. I think she was even happier to have someone to talk to. Having two kids of my own, she was happy to hear about them. I thanked her for allowing me to photograph her praying and wished her well on her quest.
A very friendly and beautiful woman.

You might be wondering why I gave this its title.
While I was taking this picture, someone else was also cutting the flowers. Not just this one but all that were in the garden. I guess they will now be serving another purpose which is, to make the soil more fertile.
- So that's how it is, before this flower really got to blossom, it was cut, hence, the title.

Pro-choice and pro-life, it's all just politics. Meanwhile, I don't wish to anyone to go through abortion. It's a horrible experience. And you may - like me - never get over it. If there is a hope for you, if there is another option, please take it. I'm not a hypocrite who has no idea what she's talking about. Nor a man who will never get pregnant. No, I know. Time goes by, and it's been almost 6 years, but time doesn't cure the pain.
I don't even have the sonogram pictures. How I wish I had that at least.

We're really starting to see evidence of men trying to take complete control over womens' bodies...In Arkansas and Oklahoma right now, even a rapist has rights over a conceived child through that act of sadistic violence.
A new Texas law takes this one step farther and encourages Drs to lie to pregnant females regarding when/if their babies will be born with disabilities...the republicans are trying to hide behind the idea that this is for the rights of people with disabilities but it's easy to see when they fund prisons over public schools that they really don't care about kids with disabilities or kids in poverty or minorities at all. They aren't pro life...they are pro death only the long con way.
After all, the GOP's own Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos didn't even know about the federal law protecting individuals with disabilities in education. Their plan is to force women to deliver these children and then offer no support for these women and children. Seems like great family values to me!
The fact of the matter is that making abortion illegal and/or nearly impossible will just mean that mothers and fetuses or newly born babies die dramatic painful deaths. And keeping birth control accessible to everyone is in the public's best interest.
This new Trumpcare abomination calls for defunding Planned Parenthood. I wonder how long before there's a bill out there trying to prevent women from voting.

I forgot how many thousands each cross represented
Men of the church are planning to put up the crosses soon-again
do you think this or the coloured version ( img131.imageshack.us/img131/8006/nana7ks.jpg ) is better?
Thanks for your comments!

Katie & I made this very special cake for Jenn's birthday. We're very glad the coat hanger didn't reach her back in 1979.
In every situation you face, there are more than one ways to handle it. You can either escape from it and take the easier way out, while on the other hand you can choose life and take responsibility for what you've done.
Choose Life, not Abortion.

"Abortion has a long history and has been induced by various methods including herbal abortifacients, the use of sharpened tools, physical trauma and other traditional methods. Contemporary medicine utilizes medications and surgical procedures to induce abortion. The legality, prevalence, and cultural views on abortion vary substantially around the world. In many parts of the world there is prominent and divisive public controversy over the ethical and legal issues of abortion. Abortion and abortion-related issues feature prominently in the national politics in many nations often involving the opposing pro-life and pro-choice worldwide social movements."
