I came across this abandoned schoolhouse near the town of Girard, I asked the property owner what year it was built and when did it close, 1893-1938, he didn’t say as to why, he let me go inside so I could grab a few photos.
The old abandoned Vermilya one room schoolhouse been sitting for decades without any students or teachers, was told it was built in 1870, could not find any more information on it.
No bell in the tower unfortunately.
Beginning around 1865 John Carmichael Haynes began to acquire large amounts of ranch land in the Osoyoos and Oliver areas. It was one of the first cattle ranches in the Okanagan Valley and he eventually amassed about 22,000 acres. Haynes also was judge as well as customs officer for the Osoyoos/US border crossing.

Seen in the costal town of Llanes in Northern Spain (Asturias Province)
A house that can certainly tell stories from its past. What a pity that it was abandoned. Llanes is a popular vacation spot and certainly was in the last century, a time from which this villa dates.

This is an abandoned church somewhere in Belgium. The church was surrounded with dove droppings. It was pretty filthy. But that doesn't matter for the picture. Especially the beautiful blue ceiling and the interior architecture of the abandoned church do well in the photo.
Former Manly Ferry, 'The Baragoola', now derelict and moored at 'The Coal Loader'. Ball's Head Bay, Sydney harbour.
The ferry has been waiting many years now now for its restoration. It was built in 1922!! Here is some information about the history of this grand ferry:

In the distance you can see Balmain, and in the far distance you can see the Anzac Bridge, first opened to traffic on Monday, 4th December, 1995.

Australia's famous poet, Henry Lawson, actually wrote a poem in 1916, in which he protested against the building of the Coal Loader, saying that it would destroy the natural bushland environment of Ball's Head.
As such, this poem was one of the world's first environmental protests. Henry Lawson was well ahead of his time. And if you have time, read his poem entitled 'The Sacrifice of Ball's Head' (1916).
Greenpeace could use this guy today, and Greta Thunberg would love his ideas!

Grain was stored in elevator. It was removed by way of the grain spouts at bottom of image. I haven't found one of these that is still in actual use.
One of the Fleetwood Wrecks, a group of old fishing boats abandoned on Fleetwood marshes next to the River Wyre. The boats in the graveyard are mostly all Fleetwood Trawlers left over from the Cod Wars of the 1970’s when the ships owners were paid to scrap them by government.
Carcross Yukon was originally called "Caribou Crossing" because of the large number of caribou that migrated through the area. The historic White Pass and Yukon Route Railway from Skagway, Alaska, ends here. The Carcross railway station is designated under the federal Railway Station Protection Act. The Matthew General Store is the oldest general store in Yukon.
