The Men's AAA first formed in 1880 and is the world's oldest athletic association. It amalgamated with the Women's AAA in 1992 to form the "AAA of England". The "of England" suffix has since been dropped around the time of the Foster Report when governance was taken from it.

I have been able to find out that the Coaching Committee was first formed in 1946 and the coaching scheme for recognition of coaches was established the following year in 1947 so the badge must have been given out sometime after this. I am afraid that I do not have any records about the numbers of such badges or the numbers of coaches to which they were given. As it was long before computers and officials, including committee members, were volunteers presumably working from home I am afraid that much of this sort of information has been lost over time.

This reversible bag is made from a combination of vintage curtain fabric combined with a lush velvet for the outside and a vintage geometric print on the inside. The outside features a pocket with a vintage button closure and the inside a pocket that is split into two for convenience.
