Both haze and air plus Moonlight on the haze is adverse to a crisp image (note stars). The anti-tail seems to be fading as expected but the conditions do not help its imaging. 1 min 20 sec total integration captured with a Vixen VSD astrograph and Nikon Z8. The comet already appears smaller in the field of view in just two days, it is racing away quickly and will dim as well.
The tail structure is interesting with its central core it has a leaf-like structure. The symmetry is nice.
Gresley A3 60106 Flying Fox is standing at Newcastle Central station with a southbound express. The engine is carrying a Doncaster shedplate (36A) where it was allocated from 8 September 1963 to 20 October 1963 and the photo can therefore be dated during this period. It was transferred to New England (Peterborough) on the latter date and was withdrawn in December 1964.

This was not an easy capture, it was raining and storming in Tucson shortly before, high winds. I was not able to set up the usual telescopes, just a single camera that I rushed outdoors when a hole formed at the right time (7 pm local). It clouded over after so it was a window that I was lucky to get. My best window was 10 minutes or so. The good news the wind and rain cleared the sky a bit from the usual dust. Captured with a Nikon Z8 and a Nikon FX 105 mm F1.4 lens. 45 sec integration.
Imaged by my son-in-law from the Sandia Crest at ~10,600" altitude, using my Nikon D300. Post-processed with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, and Topaz Denoise AI and Sharpen AI.
C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) is a comet from the Oort cloud discovered by the Purple Mountain Observatory in China on 9 January 2023 and independently found by ATLAS South Africa on 22 February 2023, and has been considered for "Most Amazing Comet 2023-2024."
Orbital period: ≈ 1.4 billion years (inbound); ≈ 235,000 years (outbound)
