Zombie arm made from seitan, beets, onion, garlic, and parsnips, all on a bed of black beans, rice, and sautéed brussels sprouts.
The seitan is loosely based on this recipe: www.theppk.com/2011/11/seitan-roast-stuffed-with-shiitake...
The seitan is a dough made from vital wheat gluten, vegetable stock from scratch, tomato sauce, white wine, sesame oil, garlic & onion powder, paprika, ground ginger, thyme, salt, pepper, and bit of soy sauce.
The bones are just parsnips, and the tendons & blood are sautéed onions (cut in long strips), minced garlic, shaved beets, and sriracha sauce.
I put the arm in the oven at 375° for about 30 minutes, and served it on a bed of brown rice, black beans (home cooked), and brussels sprouts.
Just another Tuesday night...
Apparently there's gonna be A Zombie apocalypse tomorrow (5/21/11).

So I decide to convert myself beforehand. Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna eat my parents.
Use only in an emergency! And only as a last resort. If you've done everything you can and zombies are about to get you, whip it out!
By drinking this magic soda, you gain all the awesome abilities of Ares Leviathan! You'll think like him, act like him and kill things just like him!
If you find yourself freaking out over a mushroom in your pizza whip this out and you'll find the peace of mind you need...by destroying that pizza...
Drink responsibly. Drinking more than one of these may keep you permanently in AL mode and you'll never stop killing things. Either that or you will have serious seizures, spasm frequently, die, undie, eat your friend's brains and/or explode. If you drink another whilst you are in the process of exploding, you will reverse the effects and begin imploding.

In this blog, we’ve discussed the idea of the ‘rhetoric of neutrality’ before. Now it’s time to look at one of things that rhetoric was not really designed for: humour. While the research going on at this blog has been exploring the special powers of information graphics, it has been informing some of the teaching we do in our day jobs. At ECU we run a vector illustration class with a focus on information design. The image shown here is from one of our students, Mr Scott Malcolm. This is his response to a brief which asked students to map out graphically something they feel strongly about. Most students choose to look at environmental and/or social/health concerns. Such concern for others is heartening to see, of course, and, in fact the reason for our research. Every now and then though, as in Mr Malcolm’s submission, the content breaks the mould and helps to highlight the fact that this form of graphic design is almost exclusively devoted to serious subject matter.

Raising money for the fight against Brain Cancer.
I'm super serious, here at UB, a club/organization decided to raise money by doing a 2-hour long zombie walk, and anyone can participate. This was probably the most fun i've had shooting an assignment for the newspaper. After i followed the shambling horde around campus, some of us went down into the creepy basements for a zombie photoshoot.
One of my flashes didn't work because my rechargeables lost charge. i'm gonna buy an 8-pack of Eneloops tomorrow so this doesn't happen again. I was so sad being limited to just one light :(
