I had every intention of taking a self portrait tonight to kind of document what's been going on around here, but I hated every single one I took. I also don't have the capacity for inspiration right now, so instead you get the cutest kid I saw all summer. :) This is Zeek, my cousin's youngest kid. He's three, I think? I dunno, all little kids look the same to me - agewise.

A short update:

- Our house is coming along. Half way painted. Electrician coming next week. Plumber also (we hope). Once the basics are fixed, we can move in. Oh what a joy it will be to finish painting and fixing things once all of our crap is in there also. Blah. However, our friends have been amazingly helpful, and we love them for that. Also, Joey's parents have been at the house almost every day (all except for one or two, seriously) painting. They are amazing.

- I am an 8th grade teacher! Yipee! Seriously, I thought I was going to hate middle school, but I really don't. I even have more than 36 students in 4 of my 5 classes, including 41 and 44 in two of them. :D However! My school rocks, and my students are, for the most part, pretty awesome.

So I guess that's my life in a nutshell. It seems so easy when I type it out like that, but it's really rather exhausting (hence the lack of inspiration). I've been braindead for the last hour or so. Blah. Time for bed, I think.

I hope everyone is doing well! I miss updating Flickr regularly. Wah.

but much to my surprise & delight, Zeek was in there too!! :)

& i have had him on reserve for over a month.

he was named by Keri's daughter & Zeek is the perfect name for him!!
