Ce soir est la nuit du Solstice,
La plus longue nuit de l’année.
Comme la roue tourne une fois de plus,
Je sais que demain le Soleil commencera son long voyage vers nous,
Avec lui, une nouvelle vie va commencer,
Une bénédiction de la Terre à ses enfants.
C’est la saison de la Déesse de l’hiver.
Ce soir, je lui rend hommage et je célèbre Yule,
La renaissance du Soleil et le retour de la Lumière sur la Terre.
Comme la roue de l’année tourne une fois de plus,
J’honore le cycle de la naissance, de la vie, de la mort et de la renaissance.
Aujourd’hui, j’honore le Dieu de la Forêt,
Roi de la Nature qui gouverne les saisons.
Je remercie la Déesse, la Grande Mère pour tous ses dons
Et dont l’enfantement apporte une nouvelle vie à la Terre.
Ce soir, je vous fais offrande pour vous envoyer mes prières,
en remerciement de vos bénédictions

Yule comes up on December 21, on the winter solstice. It is the shortest day and longest night of the year, as the Sun gets its lowest elevation in the sky. Apart from the marking of a new season, the winter solstice also holds a significant symbol for the Sun. It appears to stand still on this day, it’s believed that the Sun is going through a rebirth. It would then gain momentum after the solstice. The holiday also depicts several pagan beliefs, especially that of the Holly King handing over power to the Oak King, ushering in a new season of light.

As they say, travels broadens the mind, be it on a motorbike or in my case, a panda....and I picked up some fun items from the Horror Carnivale event to help me with this endeavor. This animated bear has the odd tongue in cheek animation and from a Gatcha too. Bring companions with you for that explorer vibe, of which I have Hilted's Howler dog, and keep yourself protected from the 'known unknowns' that the grid could throw at you with the gorgeous mask and staff from Drunken Brokkr. I'm wearing the new skin and ears from Petrichor which easily adapts to different looks that your imagination could throw at it. In my case, a Drow. The Panda nuzzles you when you ground sit, so mind your hair...

A Yule Log is a specially selected log burnt on a hearth as a winter tradition in regions of Europe, and subsequently North America.
It is also a chocolate sponge, filled with Madagascan vanilla cream and milk and dark Madagascan chocolate ganache. Hand-finished with a rich Belgian chocolate which can be purchased from Marks & Spencer.
