There 's nothing like cool temperatures and fresh air to raise the spirits. during my forays to the Alabama Hills the temperature can get up into the 100's and when they do, this is where I seek refuge. At around 9000 ft in elevation the difference in temperature is about 15 degrees and there nothing better the a fine mist that floats away from the falls right onto your weary soul.

Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my photos, and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! Have a great Weekend!! :)

If you have any questions about this photo or about photography in general, I will do my best to help, just post a comment or send me a Flickr mail and I will respond as quickly as possible.

For those of you new to photography, I would like to provide you with some very helpful videos that will help you get more from your photography. They where very useful to me while I was learning and I hope that they will help you out as well. Just click the link below and there are pre-made playlists on everything you could ever want to know about photography. I hope you enjoy them and as always my friends "Happy Shooting"

Into the distance a ribbon of black

Stretched to the point of no turning back

A flight of fancy on a windswept field

Standing alone my senses reeled

A fatal attraction holding me fast how

Can I escape this irresistible grasp?

Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies

Tongue tied and twisted Just an earth bound misfit I

Ice is forming on the tips of my wings

Unheeded warnings I thought I thought of everything

No navigator to guide my way home

Unladened, empty and turned to stone

A soul in tension that's learning to fly

Condition grounded but determined to try

Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies

Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I

♫

Dialogue on weather, breeding in the pound

Fateful first-time meeting, life is in the ground

Icarus they caught you where you tumbled on

Encourage you to dive now the sun is gone

I just don't know

I just don't know

aah...

moon is torn asunder over faulty two

guillotines in shackles, heads roll for a few

I just don't know

I just don't know

I just don't know

aah...

If you're lost and feel alone

Circumnavigate the globe

All you ever have to hope for two

And the way you seem to float

Circumnavigate in hope

And they seem to lose control

With you

Ooh...

Everyone of us is hurt

And everyone of us is scarred

Everyone of us is scared

Not you

Your eyes closed

Your head hurts

Your eyes feel so low

Ooh...

Everyone of us is scared

Everyone of us is hurt

Everyone of us has hope

For you ...

You only stay with me in the morning

You only hold me when I sleep

I was meant to tread the water

But now I've gotten in too deep

For every piece of me that wants you

Another piece backs away

Cause you give me something

That makes me scared alright

This could be nothing

But I'm willing to give it a try

Please give me something

Cause someday I might know my heart

You only waited up for hours

Just to spend a little time alone with me

And I can say I've never bought you flowers

I can't work out what they mean

I never thought that I'd love someone

That was someone else's dream

As you give me something

That makes me scared alright

This could be nothing

But I'm willing to give it a try

Please give me something

Cause someday I might call you from my heart

But it might be a second too late

And the words that I could never say

Are gonna come out anyway

Know my heart, know my heart, know my heart

Back and forth, I sway with the wind

Resolution slips away again

Right through my fingers, back into my heart

Where it's out of reach and it's in the dark

Sometimes I think I'm blind

Or I may be just paralyzed

Because the plot thickens every day

And the pieces of my puzzle keep crumbling away

But I know there's a picture beneath

Indecision clouds my vision

No one listens

Because I'm somewhere in between

My love and my agony

You see, I'm somewhere in between

My life is falling to pieces

Somebody put me together

Layin' face down on the ground

My fingers in my ears to block the sound

My eyes shutting tight to avoid the sight

Anticipating the end, losing the will to fight

Droplets of "yes" and "no" in an ocean of "maybe"

From the bottom, it looks like a steep incline

From the top, another downhill slope of mine

But I know, the equilibrium's there

Indecision clouds my vision

No one listens

Because I'm somewhere in between

My love and my agony

You see, I'm somewhere in between

My life is falling to pieces

Somebody put me together

Back and forth, I sway with the wind

Resolution slips away again

Right through my fingers, back into my heart

Where it's out of reach and it's in the dark

Sometimes I think I'm blind

Or I may be just paralyzed

And the pieces of my puzzle keep crumbling away

But I know, there's a picture beneath

Indecision clouds my vision

No one listens

Because I'm somewhere in between

My love, my agony

You see, I'm somewhere in between

My life is falling to pieces

Somebody put me together

Between my love and my agony

You see, I'm somewhere in between

My life is falling to pieces

Somebody put me together

An avenue once bent in shadow

In a morning straight and hallow

You hold high a destination

You sing to me of sweet revelation

I feel the quickening in my step

But I don't even touch the ground

'Cause when I see double

It's your lullaby love that keeps me from trouble

It's your lullaby love that's keeping me level

It's your lullaby love that keeps me away

When this voice retires from talking

When these ears get tired of ringing

When my feet get bored of travelling

And it looks like it's all unraveling

When this heart's too old for dreaming

That's when I hear the angels sing your lullaby

'Cause when I see double

It's your lullaby love that keeps me from trouble

It's your lullaby love that's keeping me level

It's your lullaby love that keeps me away

'Cause when I see double

It's your lullaby love that keeps me from trouble

It's your lullaby love that's keeping me level

It's your lullaby love that keeps me away

I'm not in love

So don't forget it

It's just a silly phase I'm going through

And just because

I call you up

Don't get me wrong, don't think you've got it made

I like to see you

But then again

That doesn't mean you mean that much to me

So if I call you

Don't make a fuss

Don't tell your friends about the two of us

I keep your picture

Upon the wall

It hides a nasty stain that's lying there

So don't you ask me

To give it back

I know you know it doesn't mean that much to me

I'm not in love, no no

Days That Used To Be_Neil Young

People say don't rock the boat, let things go their own way

Ideas that once seem so right, now have gotten hard to say

I wish that I could talk to you and you could talk to me

'Cause there very few of us left my friend

From the days that used to be

Seem like such a simple thing to follow one's own dream

But possessions and concession are not often what they seem

They drag you down and load you down in disguise of security

But we never had to make those deals

In the days that used to be

Talk to me, my long lost friend, tell me how you are

Are you happy with your circumstance, are you driving a new car

Does it get you where you want to go, with a seven year warranty

Or just another hundred thousand miles away

From the days that used to be

Songwriters: Neil Young

Picture taken @ IMAGOLand_For FOCUS MAGAZINE LANDSCAPES ARTICLE_ APRIL 2021 ISSUE

TOOL - Third Eye

A child's rhyme stuck in my head

It said that life is but a dream

I've spent so many years in question

To find I've known this all along

So good to see you

I've missed you so much

So glad it's over

I've missed you so much

Came out to watch you play

Why are you running away?

Came out to watch you play

Why are you running?

Shrouding all the ground around me

Is this holy crow above me

Black as holes within a memory

And blue as our new second sun

I stick my hand into his shadow

To pull the pieces from the sand

Which I attempt to reassemble

To see just who I might have been

I do not recognize the vessel

But the eyes seem so familiar

Like phosphorescent desert buttons

Singing one familiar song

So good to see you

I've missed you so much

So glad it's over

I've missed you so much

Came out to watch you play

Why are you running away?

Came out to watch you play

Why are you running away?

Prying open my third eye

♫♪♫

White sails and off shore lights

We were passing ships in the night

Now I’m tracing shadows on your back

Like I dreamt so many times

Oh for so long I’ve been waiting

For so long, for a love like this

And I was so sure baby

I’d lost you for a minute but

There’s the sweetest

Spring at my door

Can you feel it?

Just the same as before

Many years have gone by

But I knew you’d come

Quietly keeping

This hope in my heart

Prayed the night bring

Back what I lost

Many years have gone by

But I never forgot

I’ve always been yours

Only yours

There was a time when I lеt you go

Allowed myself to be swayеd and pulled

But for all my days I make a vow

No words could ever shake me now

‘Cause for so long I’ve been waiting

So long, for a love like this

And I was so sure baby

I’d lost you for a minute but

I’ve always been yours

Only yours (Yeah)
