I spotted this amazing creature above the walking path at our local county park. I've seen them around several times but never near where there are people.

For 120 pictures in 2020 #119 "You don't see that everyday", This mini submarine sits out in front of a souvenir shop on Padre Island, Corpus Christi, TX. I don't know how many decades it has been since this thing was ever operational, but it is a rusted out hulk at the moment. I also have no idea what it was used for.

Native to the Malay Archipelago, the name of this fruit is derived from the Malay word meaning "hairy." Once the "hairy" outside is peeled away you are left with the fruit which is about golf ball size. It tastes similar to lychee.

I was surprised to see a flamingo nesting in this Vallejo front yard. You don’t see that every day!

Snow removal operation on the street in front of where I live. A lot of snow fell and a lot more is coming so they need to make room for it. But even in Ottawa, which gets a fair amount of snow, you don't see that every day.

This local barber paints his shop throughout the year with various season appropriate scenes. Painted for Christmas last year but still on the building this year so a quick shot on my way into town before it is painted over for the next scene.

Those in the know might realise this was an attempt at Start the ball rolling, but it was pipped to the post by an earlier shot.

You don't see a beanie bear in the Howgills pushing a ping pong ball along with his nose every day. It may even be the first (and the last?) day that this has ever been seen!

The Super Sport class has already had its fair share of maydays this year. The NXT "Relentless" had a spectacular engine failure during Tuesday's qualifying session.

As if this gaping hole in the engine wasn't bad enough, the propeller literally fell off the plane in mid-flight.

The pilot, Kevin Eldredge, skillfully got Relentless on the ground safely. Once on the ground, the engine bay promptly caught on fire... It was one of those days.

Moments before this photo was taken, this woman had her shorts and chonies down and was in a crabwalk pose furiously masturbating facing bumper-to-bumper stopped traffic and causing quite a stir with horns honking. By the time I could get my phone ready, she was done. As exploitive as this photo may be, that's nothing compared to the pathetic googly-eyed men who nearly caused an accident competing for her attention and vying to turn right at this corner, further complicating the last 50 yards of my commute. #SickSadWorld

Huge clusters of pretty purplish mums asters growing on the side of the road last weekend. The dark colors, misty rain & overcast skies gave them a slight ethereal feel...a little LOTR, don't you think? Right--only without the awesomely gorgeous New Zealand landscape & scenery. On the plus side?--no Orlando Bloom here.

Happy Perfect Purple Saturdays. Have a great weekend!

We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious.

It was a cold night (by Welsh standards) last night so there was a splendid layer of hoar frost on the aircraft at Cardiff this morning. It took us nearly 2 hours to get the flying surfaces clear of frost and safe to fly

This large banana flower is from the Belle Isle Conservatory. If you haven't been there then you ought to go. Its free and its the only place to chillaz with palm trees in Detroit winters...

The flower reminded me of Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors. Ok... maybe too much wine tonight...

On our way back up the hill from Kirby Cove, we stopped at an old bunker and found that there has been a lot of tagging. It is amazing art in its own right, but this is a historical site...

I was taken by this version of 11:11 (You don't see that every day!) The "anxious eleven" at the top right along with the list of taggers below made us pause a bit.

The next day in the paper, we read about a big Urban Fair in Oakland that included an invitational graffiti art competition. JD and I went to it yesterday. It was awesome to see how this spray can art is done!

I think I saw this dog and truck pairing in this same parking lot several years ago when I first moved to the area.

Alan and I always say that when we spot 11:11 on the clock. Here it is in the sky!

Mother's Day hike in Sunol with JD and Alan. We saw many beautiful wildflowers. It was a wonderful day. We are lucky to have a wonderful son.
