I loved the harmony of the shades of yellow and orange in this Alstromeria lily, made a bit sparkly with the added water drops ....

Like liquid gold, the evolution of the delicious flowers, from bud to bloom.

Those huge heads, so layered, all coming out of this one bud, this bud unfurling and displaying all this beauty... it NEVER ceases to amaze me.

The evolution, the unfurling, then the GRAND opening...

Seen at Anglesey Abbey, Cambridgeshire.

Just playing around with this one. I've probably overdone it, but was interested to see how far I could go with the colours.

Had a brief fishing trip up north this past weekend so was in their breeding territory - was hoping for something very unique, but sometimes, you need to photograph what is there and available!

From a trip in the interior earlier this Summer.
