I took this while looking out the window at The Vancouver International Airport. We were waiting for our local flight to Comox on Vancouver Island.
one of the best airports in the world and such a great place to arrive back home . and with an amazing backdrop of the mountains ..

Bonus ; this is one of the few places in Canada without snow on the ground in late January
This year Vancouver BC got its first snow on Nov 29 Tuesday. I took this photo at the NW corner of Richmond BC, which is right under a flight path towards YVR, near the Fraser River estuary.
Clouds have been moving in and out leading to some outrageous sunsets lately. You can see Vancouver International (YVR) on the right.

United Airlines Boeing 737-824 N76517 departing Vancouver (YVR/CYVR) January 15, 2025. Destination Chicago-O'Hare as UAL 1534.
Arriving this morning after the long journey from Islamabad, Pakistan via Porto, Portugal as "Moonraker 341 Heavy". This was a special arrival for YVR as it marked the first flight of Afghan Refugees into British Columbia. Most of the flights have been going into YYC or YYZ.
