Yakedake in summer
Yakedake is a mountain with an altitude of 2393m.
You can see it when you walk along the Yodo River from Kamikochi.
I have never climbed this mountain, but the mountain trail continues to Nishihotaka along the ridge.

This river flows into the Lake Biwa
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
More than 120 rivers flow into Lake Biwa, but the river flowing out from this lake is only Seta-River ,which flows out at the southernmost point of the lake.
(The Seta -River runs through Uji city (then the name changes to Uji-River ), runs through Osaka city (the name changes again to Yodo-River.) and finally flows into Osaka Bay. )
You are plum blossoms on the water,
Petals floating by till they pass out of sight.
I am a willow growing by the stream.
My shadow is sunk in it, and I cannot follow.

The Sopot Pier in the city of Sopot, Poland, built as a pleasure pier and as a mooring point for cruise boats, first opened in 1827.
At 511.5m, the pier is the longest wooden pier in Europe.
It stretches into the sea from the middle of Sopot beach which is a popular venue for recreation and health walks (the concentration of iodine at the tip of the pier is twice as high as on land) or public entertainment events, and it also serves as a mooring point for cruise boats and water taxis.
It is also an excellent point for observing the World Sailing Championship, the Baltic Windsurfing Cup and the Sopot Triathlon taking place on the bay.
Sopot pier consists of 2 parts: the famous wooden walking jetty and the Spa Square on land, where concerts and festivities are organised.
To contrast, Southend Pier, the longest pier in Europe is 2158m long but constructed primarily of iron, unlike the wooden Sopot Pier.

Excerpt from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San%27y%C5%8D_Main_Line:
The San'yō Main Line (山陽本線, San'yō-honsen) is a major railway line owned by JR Group companies in western Japan, connecting Kōbe Station and Moji Station, largely paralleling the coast of the Seto Inland Sea, in other words, the southern coast of western Honshu. The San'yō Shinkansen line largely parallels its route. The name Sanyō derived from the ancient region and highway San'yōdō, the road on the sunny (south) side of the mountains.
The Sanyō Main Line is operated by two JR companies:
West Japan Railway Company (JR West) JR Kobe Line, San'yō Line
Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu) San'yō Line
The Wadamisaki Line, a short section of line in the length of 2.7 km (1.7 mi) between Hyōgo and Wadamisaki stations in Kobe is a branch of the Sanyō Main Line. A short section connecting Kitakyushu Freight Terminal also forms part of the Sanyō Main Line.
One of my personal favorite commuter railways to photograph in the Kansai region is the Hankyu Electric Railway. Headquartered in Osaka-Umeda, their handsome looking all-maroon fleet serves Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe, transporting some 2 million people a day. Just outside the downtown core of Osaka, the railway crosses the Yodo River on 3 double tracked bridges. Train traffic is heavy, with a train crossing over the bridges literally every few seconds.
Here, two outbound Hankyu kyuko (express) trains, one on the Kyoto Line, the other on the Takarazuka Line, parallel each other over the Yodo in the middle of Tuesday evening rush hour.

The Poems of Our Climate
I
Clear water in a brilliant bowl,
Pink and white carnations. The light
In the room more like a snowy air,
Reflecting snow. A newly-fallen snow
At the end of winter when afternoons return.
Pink and white carnations - one desires
So much more than that. The day itself
Is simplified: a bowl of white,
Cold, a cold porcelain, low and round,
With nothing more than the carnations there.
II
Say even that this complete simplicity
Stripped one of all one's torments, concealed
The evilly compounded, vital I
And made it fresh in a world of white,
A world of clear water, brilliant-edged,
Still one would want more, one would need more,
More than a world of white and snowy scents.
III
There would still remain the never-resting mind,
So that one would want to escape, come back
To what had been so long composed.
The imperfect is our paradise.
Note that, in this bitterness, delight,
Since the imperfect is so hot in us,
Lies in flawed words and stubborn sounds.
Wallace Stevens
