Macro Mondays " Less than 1 inch " . Actually ,this image of the ruler tool only 1mm use for Microscope, you can see it divide for 100, one small space = 0.01 mm or 10 Micron. Now I will let you know how I setup to shoot this ruler with my Nikon 7100.

First I attach the microscope eyepiece 20 X power to my Nikon D7100 with special adapter, put direct to the eyepiece hole of my Nikon microscope, and the objective len of the microscope I select the one with 4X power (There are 4 objective lens the lowest power is 4X,and 10X,60X,100X ) combine the eyepiece with objective lens I have total 80X (magnify ). The width of my Nikon sensor is 23.6 mm. The photo no crop you can see total about 1.1mm across the sensor that mean all most 21.5 X REAL MACRO 1.1

Thanks a lot to all my flickr member friends for visiting, All faves and comments are much appreciated!

Taken though my telescope at 55 x power magnification. All I did was held up my canon elph point n shoot camera lens up to the eyepiece on the telescope-

sunday chillin, beers n doobs n tunes n sunshinneeee!! exactly where u want to be!

This photo was taken yesterday, 28 June 2016, when I went with friends, Dorothy and Stephen, to Bow Valley Provincial Park They are leading a day trip out there in the near future and wanted to do a dry run and very kindly invited me to go with them.

These mountains are the first ones you come to, when you drive westwards on Highway 1A from Calgary. Mt. Yamnuska is a spectacular sight, and very popular with rock-climbers and hikers. I've never hiked up there - and am never likely to : ) The flat area at the foot of these mountains is Bow Valley Provincial Park, very popular with botanists and birders. It is less than an hour's drive west from Calgary.

Our main walk was following the Many Springs Trail, which is perhaps the most rewarding in the park. We saw a reasonably good variety of wildflowers, including Western Wood Lilies, Yellow Lady's-slippers, Sticky False Asphodel, and lots of Gaillardia. Though the end of June is usually the best time to go for the wildflowers, you still never know what you will find. We barely had a spring this year, it was so hot and so dry, more like summer.

Birds were much harder to find, even though we heard them. There were quite a few small birds flitting about, but our best sightings were of a brightly coloured male Yellow Warbler and some kind of flycatcher (Least Flycatcher?) near the boardwalk at Many Springs. Both were on the move constantly, though I did manage to get a few less-than-good photos. One of my Warbler shots made me smile when I saw it on my computer. The bird was perched, with a beak full of insects, right next to a large spider's web. Kind of robbing ones neighbour. I took three or four rapid shots of this Spotted Sandpiper and then we left the area, as she was making it clear that she had a nest or young ones somewhere.

The weather forecast for yesterday mentioned the risk of thunderstorms, but we were so lucky. The sun shone all day and the sky was full of puffy clouds. Once our visit was over and we were ready to drive back to Calgary, a bit of rain did arrive.

Thanks so much, Dorothy and Stephen, for such an enjoyable day! It was a real treat to go to the mountains, as I so rarely go.

MG X power SV (Sports Veloce) After acquiring Qvale Automotive (Italy) and with a view to US sales plans to produce an MG based on the Qvale Mangusta were hatched, One attraction was the potential sales in the United States, as the Mangusta had already been homologated for the American market. . The 2001 prototype was deemed to be not aggressive enough designer Peter Stevans modified the original design and brought the design from clay to production in 300 days, The production process was complex, partly caused by the use of carbon fibre to make the body panels. The basic body parts were made in the UK by SP Systems and then shipped to Belco Avia near Turin for assembly into body panels. These were then assembled into a complete body shell and fitted onto the box frame chassis and running gear and shipped to the MG Rover Longbridge factory to be trimmed and finished. The target price of £ 100,00 was set, with the baseline model going on sale at a cost of £ 75.000 to £ 82, 000 for the SV-R model.

Some parts came were sourced from Fiat, headlamps from the Punto Mk.2 rear lights from the Fiat Coupe. Powered by a 4600 cc V8 of 320 bhp the manual had a top speed of 165 mph. This car is registered as a 4998cc this would make it the SV-R version with a 32 valve engine of 385 bhp.

The view from this particular spot is so beautiful - my favourite view in Bow Valley Provincial Park. We stood for a while and soaked it all in. We were horrified at how low the water level was - we had seen the same thing at Many Springs, too.

We saw a reasonably good variety of wildflowers, including Western Wood Lilies, Yellow Lady's-slippers, Sticky False Asphodel, and lots of Gaillardia. This was another shot taken at Bearsted Green in Kent which was waiting on the backburner to be processed. This is an MG that I really love and it's called an SV X-Power. Small fibre bodied car with a lumping great Mustang V8 engine. Cooool!

Though the end of June is usually the best time to go for the wildflowers, you still never know what you will find. We barely had a spring this year, it was so hot and so dry, more like summer.

Birds were much harder to find, even though we heard them. There were quite a few small birds flitting about, but our best sightings were of a brightly coloured male Yellow Warbler and some kind of flycatcher (Willow or Alder Flycatcher) near the boardwalk at Many Springs. Both were on the move constantly, though I did manage to get a few less-than-good photos. One of my Warbler shots made me smile when I saw it on my computer. The bird was perched, with a beak full of insects, right next to a large spider's web. Kind of robbing ones neighbour. I took three or four rapid shots of a Spotted Sandpiper and then we left the area, as she was making it clear that she had a nest or young ones somewhere.

On the way out of the park, we stopped at Middle Lake (seen in this photo) and walked down the path as far as the lake. We were horrified at how low the water level was - there was no sign of the beautiful reeds that used to really add something special to this view. We had seen the same thing at Many Springs, too.

The weather forecast for this day mentioned the risk of thunderstorms, but we were so lucky.

MG X-power SV (Sports Veloce) After acquiring Qvale Automotive (Italy) and with a view to US sales plans to produce an MG based on the Qvale Mangusta were hatched. The 2001 prototype was deemed to be not aggressive enough designer Peter Stevans brought the design from clay to production in 300 days. at a base price of £ 75.000 to £ 82, 000 for the SV-R model. Assembled with UK carbon fibre body panels in Turin and shipped to Longbridge for trimming and finishing. Some parts came straight from Fiat, headlamps from the Punto Mk.2 rear lights from the Fiat Coupe. Powered by a 4600 cc V8 of 320 bhp the manual had a top speed of 165 mph. This car is registered as a 4998cc this would make it the SV-R version with a 32 valve engine of 385 bhp.

Don't think I've seen one of these in the metal (carbon fibre) before. Certainly not seen one on the road, but with only 82 made including pre-production models I guess that's hardly surprising.

Challenger 850 9H-AMY of Air X powering past on it's departure run from runway 24. My first shots of this one in decent light, should be repainted shortly into the green ribbon X livery.

There were quite a few of these small, old snail shells lying along the edge of Middle Lake in Bow Valley Provincial Park, not far from the foot of Mt. Yamnuska. Two days ago, on 3 July 2016, a group of 12 of us went west of the city to the very eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains for a day of birding and botanizing. This is less than an hour's drive from the city. Our main walk was along the Many Springs Trail, but this photo was taken when we stopped for a short while at Middle Lake at the end of the day. This was my second visit to this park in the past week, as the leaders, Dorothy and Stephen, had invited me to go with them for a dry run on 28 June 2916, before they led the trip two days ago.

The mountains in this park are the first ones you come to, when you drive westwards on Highway 1 or 1A from Calgary. They form the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains. Mt. Yamnuska is a spectacular sight, and very popular with rock-climbers and hikers. I've never hiked up there - and am never likely to : ) The flat area at the foot of these mountains is Bow Valley Provincial Park, very popular with botanists and birders.

Our main walk was following the Many Springs Trail, which is always a most rewarding trail. A great variety of plants can be found there (and elsewhere). We saw a reasonably good variety of wildflowers, including Western Wood Lilies, the last (?) 3 Yellow Lady's-slippers, Sticky False Asphodel, Harebells, Fleabane, and lots of Gaillardia. I was also thrilled to bits to find the tiny flowers of Kalm's Lobelia (Lobelia kalmii) along the edge of Middle Lake. I only remember ever seeing this plant once before, at Elkton Bog. Though the end of June is usually the best time to go for the wildflowers, you still never know what you will find. We barely had a spring this year, it was so hot and so dry, more like summer.

We had seen the same thing at Many Springs, too, with low water levels.

On the trip two days ago, we saw 20 bird species and I will add the list compiled by Janet Gill. I never find this park a good place for taking bird photos - wildflowers are easier, though it was windy this day, which made it more difficult.

The target price of £ 100,000 was set, with the baseline model going on sale at a cost of £ 75.000 to £ 82, 000 for the SV-R model.

Unlike the base model SV, the SV-R was offered with a choice of either manual or automatic transmissions, as well as a factory approved nitrous oxide kit from the MG ZT-T Bonneville world record car, which pushed the power output to an estimated 1,000 bhp (700 kW). .

HAPPY 4th JULY to all Americans!

I just managed to get a quick shot of this little Flycatcher yesterday, when I stood on tiptoes to try and see it through a bit of an opening through a tangle of bushes and shrubs. The lighting might not have resulted in 100% accurate colouring, but birders identified this as a Willow Flycatcher. I don't know if this could be a juvenile.

Yesterday, 3 July 2016, I again went with friends, Dorothy and Stephen, to Bow Valley Provincial Park. On 28 June 2016, the three of us had been out there to do a dry run before yesterday's day trip, when 9 other people joined the three of us.
