„...Die Irrationalität meiner Gedanken und Empfindungen wird für mich selbst nur in der Dunkelheit greifbar. Um ehrlich zu sein, ist für mich jede Nacht, in der ich wach bin, eine stille Nacht. Warum ich um diese Uhrzeit nicht noch im Bett liege? Weil ich Angst vor meinen Alpträumen habe... Ich hoffe, dass ich an den Weihnachtstagen auch mitten in der Nacht wach werde. Und ich nicht wie so oft in der letzten Zeit davon träume, wie meine Mutter in ihrer Agonie nach Luft schnappt. Diese quälenden Geräusche rauben mir den Schlaf. Und ich sehe mich ihr den Schleim absaugen, der langsam ihre Lunge gefüllt hat. Und spüre immer noch ihren starren Blick dabei... Ich liebe die Vorweihnachtszeit. Das dekorieren, backen, Karten schreiben, basteln und Geschenke einpacken. Aber an Weihnachten selbst möchte ich mich immer verstecken... Seltsam. Auch in diesem Jahr werde ich meine Familie nicht sehen. Wie schon seit Jahren nicht. Und bin mehr den je froh darüber... Auch seltsam, oder? Diese wunden Stellen in meiner Seele sind es, die mich vor sich her treiben. Meine Rast- und Ruhelosigkeit hat hier ihren Ursprung. Und auch meine Verletzlichkeit... Ich kann nur jedem raten, keine Angst vor seiner eigenen Traurigkeit zu haben. Offen damit umzugehen, ist für mich kein Zeichen von Schwäche. Für nichts in meinem Leben brauche ich mehr Stärke, als über meine eigenen Schwächen zu schreiben. Und nicht vor mir selbst zu fliehen. Darum habe ich auch keine Angst in der Dunkelheit der Nacht. Die wirklich bedrohliche Dunkelheit liegt in meinem eigenen Herzen. Und in Deinem... Darum lasse immer ein Licht brennen, irgendwo... Die Suche in meinen Fotos nach dem Licht und den Stimmungen, die es erzeugt, ist ein Spiegelbild meiner tatsächlichen Suche. Das Graphische symbolisiert dann die Ordnung, die in mir selbst manchmal fehlt... Ich will Strahlen wie eine Sonne und bin doch das schwarze Loch in meiner eigenen Galaxie. Mit einem verzerrten Ereignishorizont aus Malen, Fotografie und dem Aufschreiben meiner eigenen, unendlichen Geschichte...“

Photographed in Antelope Canyon X. Canyon X is located in the same Canyon as the Iconic Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon in the Navajo Nation Reservation at Page, Arizona. USA.

Antelope Canyon X is named after the X marking carved into the Navajo Sandstone, created by millions of years of rainfall and wind.

Am 14.11.2020 kamen wir endlich nochmal dazu, x-Wagen im Großraum Nürnberg aufzunehmen. Am Abend konnte dann 143 045 mit einer S2 nach Roth kurz vor Erreichen des Haltepunkts Feucht-Moosbach aufgenommen werden.
