Happy Feathery Friday! Didn't get home from work until 9:30 PM so I didn't get much time to visit all the wonderful new photos today...Hope to get around to as many as I can on the weekend...Have a fun Friday everyone! On explore Jan. 16 @ 270
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could easily navigate our way through times in our lives when things aren't real clear? I'm sure this gull has no problem knowing exactly where he is no matter how thick the fog may get..
Sunny days wouldn't be special, if it wasn't for rain
Joy wouldn't feel so good, if it wasn't for pain
Death gotta be easy, 'cause life is hard
It'll leave you physically, mentally and emotionally scarred- 50 Cent
...but I have been venturing out to some very KooL city sims recently, and as long as I have the company of one of my cuddle bug furry friends, I'm good to go! And seriously, you can't get much more cuddly than a lil precious fluffy Chow pup! We sat here for a long while, and the poor little fella was dozing off, so I promised him we would go exploring in the woods next time, and he perked up, no doubt dreaming of chasing rabbits and squirrels! The city is great fun to visit, we concurred, but our hearts live in forests and meadows! ♥
... to see such blue sky and fluffy white clouds again ;-))

I wouldn't have forgiven myself if I didn't stop to check out this 56 today. Almost broke my neck when I saw it 😂😂😅 June of 2021, I took a picture of another 56 Premier in rough project shape at this same shop. The difference is night and day.

Taken for Happy Caturday!
(Our internet is down and you wouldn’t believe what I went through to get these pics up here!)
Wouldn't it be fun to know what's going on inside that little mind?
Thanks so much to everyone who takes the time to view, like or comment on my photos!

We wouldn't find any more trams to chase that night in Munich, or even a car for that matter, but we were determined to find something. Anything to be exact. And we did find this misty bridge. Although it was summer, the humidity was so high and air was so moist next to Isar at that point, that made this possible!
This was taken in Thalkirchen. Like from a movie scene, it's the bridge leading to the Zoo. Tierparkstrasse street, 3:45am. We had become the night...
Soda Creek is one of the first campgrounds that you come to when coming to the Cascade Lake area by going past Mt. Bachelor. It is popular for those who want to hike into the Sisters Wilderness from the east side or for those going around Broken Top to the Three Creeks area. There is also an interesting wetlands area (Soda Creek) around the campground. The area is mostly sunny and a great spot for those camping with little kids since there are few dangers about. The creek is shallow, the area is wide open, with fun places to play.
Sparks Lake was created when lava flows blocked the creek. Interesting formations surround the lake, and the water makes strange noises as it drains out through the lava. A short hiking trail crosses the lava and connects the two sections of the lake.
There is a very small campground here and from my site I could walk around and view Broken Top, the South Sister, and Mt. Bachelor.
When I first arrived I shot this image with my iPhone before I unloaded my camera equipment. Wouldn't you just know it, the iPhone image was the better of all the other images I took. Go figure!!!
So maybe it's time for a couple of spring flowers, at least here on Flickr. Our January was just proclaimed one of the darkest on record, with hardly any sunshine all month long (and little or no snow, too). Just the sort of winter we'd rather not have. So we'll just have to wait and see what happens now. As for the title, there's an old Beach Boys song running through my head right now. [DSC06870_lr_2000]
Thank you all for the clicks, comments & faves. I really appreciate it. (I'll reply to comments if I have something worthwhile to add. Other-wise, please simply accept my thanks.)
This beautiful waterfall in the Valley Of Desolation near Bolton Abbey stands around 10m high and is hidden away that you wouldn't know it was there. A lovely peaceful spot on a summers day.

I wouldn't compliment myself for what I've become
Tell her I owe it to her
Tell her I owe it to her
I wouldn't praise myself for every good thing I've done
Tell her I owe it to her
Tell her I owe it to her
Tell her I owe it to every heartbeat
Tell her I owe it to every exhale
Tell her I owe it to, owe it to her
Hands upon my chest
Oh, won't you breathe life into these dead lungs I keep under my coat oh oh oh
And keep life warm against the cold night as our bodies grow old oh oh oh
I don’t want to give up and I know when to breathe
Believe me, I owe it to her
Tell her I owe it to her
Tell her I owe it to every heartbeat
Tell her I owe it to every inhale
Tell her I owe it to, owe it to her
Hands upon my chest
Oh, won't…

I think this Starling looks rather coy as if butter wouldn't melt in its mouth but we all know these guys don't take any prisoners at the bird feeders!
On the theme of butter, do you remember when we were kids holding buttercups up to the chins of our friends and if the yellow reflected on their chin it was a sign that they liked butter ... Lurpak in particular in my case!
Anyway, we've decided to let the buttercups grow in our garden as the bees love them and we think they make quite a nice backdrop for a few photos!
As always, thank you so much for stopping by and for leaving any comments or faves, they are very much appreciated.
You wouldn't imagine that this is actually Boston harbor in the background. It's a relatively little known location, "Chapel Rocks", not far from Nickerson beach. At sunrise the mood was quite interesting with the rather dramatic rocks.
Works best when viewed in large.
Happy Friday all!
....in this beautiful poppy field once I had found it.
Told my husband I wouldn't go home before shooting some poppies in Mallorca. At least I found this beautiful piece of land.
I wouldn't go out of my way to do long exposure photography, but the light was so poor yesterday afternoon that by merely using a fast ISO, proper exposures were taking 30 seconds. This is a two-image stitch, taken with with the tripod standing in the stream. It was a blustery day and some camera shake is evident, particularly in the right hand image of the stitch.
Oh wouldn't it be lovely waking to a few more of these. Im getting so tired of all the grey. Not that it can't look moody and offer some good shots. I just think a little sun, cheers us all up.
Another one from that trip up to Bamburgh.

Sat down 3 feet away from this lizard and it didn't move. Took a few pictures, drank some water and still no movement. Finally got up and stepped towards it and it disappeared into the rocks.
nap, anyone .....
.... wouldn't it be glorious to take a nap in a rhinestone hammock ..
;-)
Happy Friday all and have a good start into the weekend!!
You broke my heart when you left me without explanation. We had started talking about house, baby, ...
I would have liked so much if we had had arguments, if we had no more desires for each other, if you had left me for another one. But nothing!
It took me months to understand that it was out of cowardice. Like blocking me on your phone to stop all dialogue.
I drowned my sorrows in alcohol and drugs. If my family and friends hadn't supported me, I wouldn't be here. And you weren't worth it!
Finally, we will not walk together until tomorrow! Our song ...

Just wouldn't be summer without having some beach time! Thought I'd drag my evil twin out with me ;) ♥
you wouldn't sit for a month :-)
Theodore Roosevelt
The slogan 'The buck stops here' is a promise that responsibility will not be passed on to anyone else. What's the origin of the phrase 'The buck stops here'? U.S. president Harry S. Truman had a sign on his desk with 'The buck stops here' inscribed on it.
NBC News’ Kristin Welker asked the president(Trump) if he is to blame for the lag in testing. “No, I don’t take responsibility at all,” he responded before quickly moving to his tried and true strategy: blame Obama. “We were given rules, regulations, and specifications from a different time.”
But that simply isn’t true. No remaining Obama-era regulation has prevented the administration from rolling out tests.
VOTE!! RESIST!! kick our president out of office at the polls!! stay safe and well :-)

Normally I wouldn't post an image where the subject was flying out of frame at thirds, but in this case it just works for me..I hope you don't get bored by a few images of this shoot being posted so close together between other genres of photography... I usually like to keep my stream varied so as not to bore people to death with the same subject in a million different incremental positions...I only choose to post the best of what I capture from any given shoot and i throw the rest away. This image isn't completely noise free as I'm working with a 7D mark 1 and it's very unforgiving with noise when working over 400 ISO at 1600th shutter speed and at 7.1 aperture { Which is the sweet spot on the 7d when shooting BIF }... I really would love a 7d mark 3 and a better lens than my Sigma 150-500mm... It's a terrific lens but when you're at the full 500mm, the image quality is a bit on the soft side, and your subject is still out of full range and, you have to crop in, and with a 7d mark 1 you don't have the latitude for noise correction and crop, and it grates through my bones to throw so many potentially good captures away... Well, enough of my rant...
Please press L on your keyboard for the best view...Thanks in advance for any faves and comments...Always appreciated...Andy :-}
I wouldn't ask this one for a hug. We found a new park for photos. This saguaro looking like a bear made me chuckle.

It wouldn't be the start of spring without running into one of these beautiful little birds. Always excited to see them at the start of Spring, that excitement often fades away as one looks for rarer warblers but they are still a treat!
I absolutely love the moss in this shot, I feel like it really makes the shot

Summer wouldn't be summer without taking this view!
The bell heather is now in bloom with little pockets of colours across the moors. It will be a few more weeks until the ling and cross heather flowers when the moors really come to life in a sea of purple!
