I've turned our little nook table into a beading station ...

Sneak peek: We would like to share a preview of Adelle and Adelle Sans PE, the Pan-European extension that adds Monotonic Greek and Cyrillic to the Adelle family.

I'm in the final stages of preparing a wall hung piece for exhibition.

It's called "Mary, Mary, quite contrary" and uses the traditional English nursery rhyme to illustrate the connection between the policies of the Margaret Thatcher government and the problems facing present day society.

The top part of this piece exists in a colourful Nursery Rhyme Land, with Margaret tending her flowers (the fruits of her policies) whilst underground, the bulbs (or origins), continue to feed the resulting damage to society.

I have shown here two of the bulbs, and their temporary labels, which have been applied to a complex machine embroidered background

That's five strands of Sugar & Cream held together and then wound up.

cross quilt in 1970s appliance colors.

I was watching a Mad Men DVD (so good!) and just started sewing crosses. I really should finish one of my works in progress...all my WIP bins are full!

Various things I've been experimenting with outside of sketching/watercolors.

Gray heads are Super Sculpey Firm and will probably become test subjects for molding and casting.

White head is LaDoll waiting to be detailed and sanded.

Needle felted woodsy started as a test of using a wet felted 'bead' as a core for the head. Poor thing still needs arms and feet. ^o^
