While it doesn't quite appear so, I was still quite protected. I was on the walkway, and they were standing about 4m away on a hillside that rose up. I was about 2-3m off the ground where I stood.
This is Mai, one of the canadian wolf pack at the UK Wolf Trust. I took this photo while out on a members walk where the wolves are taken out of their enclosure by handlers to walk alongside trust members.

I felt like doing something with the Wolves Frolicking stamp after seeing a scene online last night (using it). I didn't have a lot of time to do a scene so this is a kind of "speed scene". It has most of the elements that I like to add into a scene but I kept the applications pretty quick and simple.

A pack of wolves surrounding a group of 3 bison. I encountered this skirmish close to sunset up on a ridge above the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone last week. These wolves were trying to get at the smaller bison being protected by the two adults. Note the piece of flesh in the mouth of one of the wolves on the left.
