(Gesualdo Bufalino)

Life is a path along which we grow, we encounter obstacles, we struggle to achieve our dreams and we become wiser by all going in the same direction. Our stay is limited, but this does not mean we must live passively oppressed by our destiny. On the contrary, we must try to get the best out of existence.

There are those who travel to get lost, there are those who travel to find themselves.

(Gesualdo Bufalino)

Message from the Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers:

"As you move through these changing times... be easy on yourself and be easy on one another. You are at the beginning of something new. You are learning a new way of being. You will find that you are working less in the yang modes that you are used to.

You will stop working so hard at getting from point A to point B the way you have in the past, but instead, will spend more time experiencing yourself in the whole, and your place in it.

Instead of traveling to a goal out there, you will voyage deeper into yourself. Your mother's grandmother knew how to do this. Your ancestors from long ago knew how to do this. They knew the power of the feminine principle... and because you carry their DNA in your body, this wisdom and this way of being is within you.

Call on it. Call it up. Invite your ancestors in. As the yang based habits and the decaying institutions on our planet begin to crumble, look up. A breeze is stirring. Feel the sun on your wings."

Quando sono andato a scuola, mi hanno chiesto cosa volessi diventare da grande. Ho risposto “felice”. Mi dissero che non avevo capito l’esercizio e io risposi che loro non avevano capito la vita.

If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow; but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much.

This is my friend's cat. He is 19 years old and still active enough to jump onto his favourite chair.

Happy Caterday!

I last photographed this cat seven years ago. That portrait is in the first comment.

Lately I feel a certain inertia. I talk to my SL brothers and explore Sims. Was it in a coming and going of Chouchou that I came across this image: desolation, contemplation, hope? I took several angles, read the profile, talked to the stranger, asked permission to upload the image. Honestly, I was undecided, but it is for a common feeling that I will share it: contemplation and desolation.

A blushing little Mayflower

Turned away her head,

Too polite to let a weed

Hear a word she said.

Today is their day! This image is 2 winters old. No sunshine right now, rather dreary and grey and gloomy.

Another one of my tree shots from earlier this spring.....have a fantastic weekend and many thanks for all your visits!!!!!!

Thank you, virtual friends, Flickr staff working from home, and to the unseen tulip fields. Next year, I hope we can visit.

But we're grateful we ordered and planted so many bulbs last fall in two containers, able to see from indoors. (I took this outside in grass pollen.)

Hope you're healthy...and wise about keeping your distance. Please protect your family, your loved ones, your friends, yourself. Practice social distancing. Please don’t be in places with a lot of people. This disease is deadly.

OLYMPUS EM-1 Mark II

Looking like the three wise men there in Bryce Canyon.

Wise men say

Only fools rush in

But I can't help falling in love with you

Shall I stay?

Would it be a sin?

If I can't help falling in love with you

Like a river flows

Surely to the sea

Darling, so it goes

Some things are meant to be

So take my hand

Take my whole life, too

For I can't help falling in love with you

🎶 JASON MRAZ - WISE WOMAN

She's a green garden goddess

Tender of the weed

She knows how to find it

Grows everything she needs

She's a real wise woman

With so much love to give

She gives so much

'Cause she stays in touch

With what her truest nature is

She's a green garden goddess

She hears the universe

She's out there with the planet

But she keeps it down to earth

'Cause she the wise, wise woman, woman, woman

She keeps my mind open, mind open

Yeah, she's a wise, wise woman, woman, woman

She keeps her heart open, heart open

And he said, you heard the future if you need to find the truth ..

Marcus Tullius Cicero

"As far as my eyes can see

There are shadows approaching me

And to those I left behind

I wanted you to know

You've always shared my deepest thoughts

You follow where I go

And oh, when I'm old and wise

Bitter words mean little to me

Autumn Winds will blow right through me

And someday in the mist of time

When they asked me if I knew you

I'd smile and say you were a friend of mine

And the sadness would be lifted from my eyes

Oh when I'm old and wise

As far as my eyes can see

There are shadows surrounding me

And to those I leave behind

I want you all to know

You've always shared my darkest hours

I'll miss you when I go

And oh, when I'm old and wise

Heavy words that tossed and blew me

Like Autumn winds will blow right through me

And someday in the mist of time

When they ask you if you knew me

Remember that you were a friend of mine

As the final curtain falls before my eyes

Oh when I'm old and wise

As far as my eyes can see"

Old and Wise

Early in the morning,

at the start of each day.

So many things to do,

and many things to say.

We fill our lives, with nine to fives,

And without a break to take.

But take some time, dear friend of mine,

And don't make this mistake.

Yes, the sun will rise, in early skies,

but you can never tell.

If tomorrow will give you another day,

or bids you fond farewell.

Lost.
