Happy Sunday everyone (and Happy Sliders Sunday :)).

"The beginning of wisdom is the same as its attainment: wonder. The truest statement in the world is 'you never know.' There is always something to evoke wonder, to wonder about, because this world, this life, this universe, this reality is far more than just the sum of its parts. Even the slightest detail contains much more. The overwhelming awe and wonder we feel teach us more than we can ever glean or come to know of things. In the presence of that wonder, the head has no answers and the heart has no questions." - Richard Wagamese, "Embers: One Ojibway's Meditations", p. 99.

One of the things I love about so many of the photos you all post on Flickr is that they evoke a sense of Wonder in our world, right down to a macro of the smallest insect!

Like slumbering giants

you withstand the Test of Time

History being made in your shadow

Your Silent Stance a Testament

to the genius that is Mother Nature

for None Other shall ever contain

the Infinite Wisdom Grace Beauty

that is held within your branches...

Wasn't sure which one of these I liked more, the portrait version or the landscape version (posted below), so I posted them both for you to decide.

Have a great evening and an even better Friday!!!! Thanks for all your visits & comments :-)

GrainCorp's Sheep Hills silos were built in 1938.

The artwork on them was created by Melbourne-based artist Adnate.

Adnate started in graffiti and street art in Melbourne in the mid-2000s. His portraits tell the stories of indigenous people and their native lands, particularly the stories of Aboriginal Australians.

At Sheep Hills, Adnate depicted Wergaia elder Uncle Ron Marks and Wotjobaluk elder Aunty Regina Hood, alongside two children Savannah Marks and Curtly McDonald, to celebrate the richness of the area's indigenous culture.

The night sky represents elements of local "dreaming" and the overall image signifies the exchange of wisdom, knowledge and customs from the elders to the next generation.

Adnate's large-scale works can be found in various settings throughout Australia and the world.

Ricky : "Mom, is Gillian sick?"

Me : "She had her wisdom teeth out today."

Ricky : "Well then that makes a lot of sense. She's acting like a dum dum. She keeps laughing at everything!"

Me : "She's still a little bit drugged. She'll be fine later."

Ricky : "So her wisdom isn't permanently gone then??"

Me : "Hahaha! No! They're just called wisdom teeth. They don't have anything to do with how smart you are."

Ricky : "I don't know Mom. We'll keep a close eye on her just to be sure."

Me : "Good idea."

Today, I totally stole this idea from a much cooler shot from Scott, but I told him so I think its okay...haha

This was actually pretty tough to get the piece falling like this, but I caught it about 4 times and just went with this one. Had to rush just a little bit, the Dolphins are beating Alya's Patriots right now and we are a house divided...haha

Anywho.... Enjoy. Hope I made you proud Scott. Nice topic today.
