The Mob Museum, officially known as the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, is a nonprofit 501(c)3 museum located in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, at 300 Stewart Avenue. Housed in the historic 1933 Las Vegas Post Office and Courthouse—a building listed on the National Register of Historic Places—the museum opened on February 14, 2012.
It offers an immersive, interactive journey into the history of organized crime in the United States and the efforts of law enforcement to combat it. Exhibits span four floors and include the actual brick wall from the 1929 St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, a restored courtroom used for the 1950 Kefauver Committee hearings on organized crime, and interactive displays such as a crime lab, wiretap listening stations, and a use-of-force training simulator.
The museum also features The Underground, a fully operational speakeasy and distillery in the basement that produces 100-proof corn moonshine, reflecting Prohibition-era culture.
