There was a bunch of wire near the train tracks today and I thought that they looked neat.

Spools of RED/White and RED/Yellow frame wire. Red/White is

used to "jumper" POTS lines. Red/Yellow is used to jumper DSL

lines. POTS stands for Plain Old Telephone Service. DSL stands

for Digital Subscriber Lines (High Speed Internet)

This swallow found in southern and southeastern Asia. It is mainly resident, but populations in Pakistan and northern India migrate further south in winter.

This bird is found in open country near water & human habitation. Wire tailed swallows are very fast flyers and they usually feed on insects, especially flies, while airborne. They are typically seen low over water, with which they are more closely associated than most swallows.

They make their with mud on man made buildings or bridges.

I took this shot at Thapli ( Haryana, India ). It was collecting mud for nesting.

I made 50 km on my bike today, from Prague-Bohnice down to the river, along Vltava to Kralupy, across the bridge (the first down the stream after Most Barikadniku in Prague 7!), up to Holubice (beautiful Romanesque church there!), Tursko, and down to Libcice nad Vltavou. Then along the river (there's just a narrow foot path along the railway tracks) to Rez, across the foot bridge, and back to Bohnice along the river. The weather looked quite discouraging in the morning, but turned out to be beautiful in the afternoon, with great "windy" "Alberta" clouds (almost:-).
