Decided to upload some photos from my archives tonight.
A random coil of wire I found behind my apartment building. Sometime in 2008, I think.
Spotted while walking along Ynez rd. The pattern created by the wires and pole caught my attention, and the birds hanging on the wires completed the composition. I took some shots with my Canon as well.
March 4, 2018. Another day working on the gRSShopper harvester, and I actually uploaded some code to github as the stand-alone improvements were worth sharing. This is the view from the front door in the evening, more of an orange glow than a sunset.
Ring of barbed wire i found on a wall, i liked the way half was rusted which gave it a mix of colours.

On New Year's Eve we lost the water at our house. We have an artesian well that is 360 feet deep. We didn't know if it was the pump or an electrical connection. I'm to cheap to call a plumber on New Year's day so I waited till Jan 2.Unfortunately we had gotten another foot of snow on top of the foot a couple of days earlier and the plumber's van wasn't dug out, yet. He came the next day but couldn't do anything as the temps were -10 F (-23C ). The pump had to be pulled out of the well and the 200 feet of pipe it was connected to had to be layed out on the snow. At -10F the pipe could have broken so we had to wait for the January thaw,which started Monday a week after we lost the water. Meanwhile we stomped out a 200 foot path in the snow with our snowshoes so we wouldn't sink 2 or more feet in the snow as we layed out the pipe, and hauled water for the flush, dishes and drinking water.
