In our return to home in Auburn, California, we took the back roads taking us through the Anderson Valley and the wine country.

Wine Glasses
Being the stubborn person that I am at times, I had another attempt at the glassware. As I still had things left out I used the same studio light as yesterday but used a larger softbox.
I still had issues that when the background was brighter I lost detail in the glasses so I compromised and this was the best shot of the session.
I also noticed when I came to edit that what I thought was level obviously wasn't somewhere along the lines...when I focus on one aspect something else always suffers, but hey ho its all a learning curve.
All packed away and a different lighting style to try next time.
Underground wine cellar, at a restaurant just outside of Rome. According to the owner robert de niro ate there and some other movie fellows including Aaron Eckhart, i can see why the food was amazing and the view from the restaurant was great. Processed in photoshop, altered RGB curves, increased the vibrancy, used the selective colour to alter reds yellows and blues, and lastly adjusted hue and saturation.
Our local camera club had a challenging theme a couple of months ago on illusions... this is me playing with wine glasses
We have a few wineries in our area and this image is from The Roost Winery. We went for a hike on the Bruce Trail last Sunday in the Kolapore Region. Then we did a wine tasting paired with a cheese platter after the hike. It's nice that the weather is still lovely for sitting out on the patio overlooking the vineyards. Hubby's favourite was the one on the left called Two Wrongs Make a White and I preferred the Barn Red which is third from the left. Cheers!
wine: Hey, look now, what you think you doing?!
me: (trying to hide whiskey glass) me? nothing.. just sitting here minding my own business
wine: (sulking) ... yeah, I know, I can't sparkle like that in the dark ... you wait till tomorrow afternoon, when it heats up nicely, don't come to me looking for chilled glass ...
... men!

The hereios of the We're Here! group have paid a visit to the People in a Box group today at my suggestion.
Not having a big enough box to get in, I got in two with others behind me … I've got quite a lot of wine :)
Stuck for an idea for your daily 365 shot? Try the hereios of the We're Here! group for inspiration.
In wine, there's truth, wine makes all things possible, wine is bottled poetry. A wine glass without wine never looks as beautiful as when there is wine in it and...the glass of wine I've drunk is beginning to take a few corners off the world...
Cheers to those medical professionals who work long shifts, crazy hours and take care of our children when we, as parents, are at our most stressed. After your shift at the hospital, put your feet up, relax in the sun and toast a glass of wine to another day well done! You've made a difference today as you do each and every day. Some days are sad, some are extremely rewarding and fun but regardless, we couldn't do it without you! Thank you!
