Strictly No Ball Games.

The cracks are showing, taken during my Covid-19 exercise walk.

As I left our bank's drive-up window, I saw a great rainbow pattern in a window across the street. I couldn't figure out why it was so colorful, so I parked next to the building to take a look. The office had put up a patterned non-stick window film on its side window - for privacy I assume. It was near sunset and sunlight was coming through the front window on the other side of the building, hitting the filmed window.

I took a shot with my phone, but didn't like the competing colors from the grass, bricks and siding. At home, I converted the image to black and white in pse, used the old paper effect, and erased the mono from the window.

Here comes the sun

Here comes the sun, and I say

It's alright

Memories

Mostly just basic photography.

First I "saw" the kink as just a candy wrapper. While removing distracting wrinkles and their reflections, surprisingly, this elegant "fashion sketch" emerged. (I copied and added three tiny existing curves to suggest a neckline, and I brightened the dark grey lines to make her "skirt" visible. That was it.

Seen at London City Airport, the home of the CityFlyer fleet of Embraer's, ideal for the short runway & steep landing/ take offs required.

As well as the convenience of London City Airport with quicker access to London itself, the airport provides amazing views for departing passengers, you can almost touch the wings from the gates, plus all boarding is done by walkway, there are no airbridges.

If we could somehow know every business decision that has ever been made in these offices, and somehow tally the effects of those decisions on the lives of others, my guess is there would be more harm than good. But the building is cute and funny!

For a city (in this case, Hartford) to dangle traffic signals from wires in its downtown, instead of mounting them on poles, is to impart a sloppy-lookin trashiness to the downtown. Generally that's fine with me!

I see the reflective glass panels are becoming discolored, especially at the edges.

I am frustrated that ONLINE SOURCES DISAGREE BADLY as to whether the building was completed in 1958, 1959, or 1960. This online exhibit prepared by the local public library says it was 1959, so that is the year I am choosing to memorize.
