Most will claim to be taller and better, but for position, the Wheel of Brisbane can’t be beaten. Sitting in Southbank Parklands right across the Brisbane River from the city, the wheel commands a wonderful view over Southbank, the river, city and South Brisbane.

It was built in 2008.

It took me a while to "arrive" after returning from my six months long South-East-Asia trip. Loads of paperwork and social responsibilities kept me busy. Additionally, after a half year of shooting hundreds of images per day, I enjoyed not using my camera for a bit.

It took eight weeks until I started to feel the creativity flowing through my venes again. I have been shooting a lot more during the past two weeks and I love it.

Shooting has become a part of my daily routine again and thats good. I missed it.

Best On Black. Another View of Mendocino Village. Taken from an upstairs window in the apartment I was staying in earlier last month. The view is South East from the center of town. This is classic Mendocino. The 19th century character of the village is preserved in the center of town. I was struck by the beautiful morning light the day after an evening of soaking rain. This image is my favorite of my Mendocino series, and it captures the magic light and air of this beautiful place. It's clearly my favorite North Coast destination, and this apartment provides a window to it's core.

The windows and lace shown in today's post are found in the older section of Sheboygan's John Michael Kohler Art Center. I am attracted by their simple beauty.

Just playing around with some natural light shots.

For this one I had the model in front of a window. It gave some nice diffuse light. I kinda like it!

AAW September 22 - 29: Window Shopping

WIT: I saw this window of a shop that sold posters and animations. I thought it was a cool window, and I also wanted to try a collage kind of in the style of David Hockney joiners. This is the result.

found in the forgotten city

I still occasionally stop by this group of abandoned houses for a shot or two. On this day, I was interested in windows.
