Hi all hope your all keeping well ...I took this at a recent photo meet up about insects but who can resist photographing lovely wicklows landscape 💚

There is a place along the Dargle River where the trees over hang the water. As winter approaches there is a short window when the sun shines though the leaves on the trees throwing and orangey-red hue onto the surrounding rocks and and river.

This lighthouse on the headland has been in operation since 1818. The county town of Wicklow, was founded by the Vikings in AD 795 and its name comes from the Danish word, " Wykylo " meaning; " Viking`s Loch "
