Me and a friend went for a friday evening "Fotosafari". The idea was to shoot some pictures of industrial plants during sunset, as this often makes for nice colors and light effect. We found a good place to park the car (which is not always easy...) and (after a few meters walk) found some good spots from where we could shoot some interesting impressions from some of the industrial facilities near Wesseling.
I will post some of the picture over the next few days as part of a mini series. I hope you like it. I'm also interested to see, what you shots look like, Christoph...☺
Another one from the recent Fotosafari with my friend Christoph to the industrial area near Wesseling, Germany.
I just did a little bit of post-processing on my tablet using Snapseed for Android. I tend to use more jpegs now instead of RAW, as it's much easier to use, especially when you're travelling. In this case I just cropped the picture a little bit and added some contrast. That's it... Hope you like it.

Bonn bei Nacht I
Sicht vom Drachenfels auf Bonn in Deutschland. Im Hintergrund die Kölner Bucht. Die hellen Lichtpunkte gehören zum Industriestandort Wesseling.

Industry series continued: The vast industrial area in Cologne is divided into two parts by the highway A 555 from Bonn to Cologne. The A 555 is Germany's oldest highway - one long straight trsection in the middle is still without any speed limit.
Friday evening "Fotosafari" with my friend Andreas. Finally we found a place to park our car and had access to a bridge near the rhine in Wesseling offering great views into the nearby industrial areas. This is the first shot of a Industry Series to be uploaded during the next few days (also see Industry Series from November 2015 - same area, other POV). Downloaded and developed in Lightroom after perfect pizzas from Napoli in Brühl with a glass of red wine (maybe two).

Na een ronde door Köln Godorf Hafen zag ik evb 1 ketelwagen plaatsen bij Evonik in Godorf en vervolgens met een sleep ketelwagens weer het terrein af rijden.
Aangezien RheinCargo normaal alleenheerser is in bedieningen in de Keulse haven, vermoedde ik dat deze vreemde eend in de bijt, geen verdere bedieningen zou gaan doen, maar met deze sleep uit de haven zou vertrekken. Daarom werd een stek opgezocht verderop de lijn. Na niet lang wachtte kwam de trein, zoals voorspeld, in aantocht.
evb/SBB Cargo 276 006 met keteltrein (o.a. UN2785 en UN1120) van Köln-Godorf Hafen richting Brühl, door Wesseling.
Prvým súkromným dopravcom, ktorý "prelomil ľady" a začal s prepravou tovaru cez schengenskú hranicu s Ukrajinou po normálnom rozchode sa stalo LTE.
V polovici februára to boli prepravy kamennej soli z ukrajinského Čopu do vlečky odbočujúcej z nákladiska Dvorianky. Na tieto prepravy si LTE prenajalo dvojicu rušňov radu 740 od spoločnosti AWT.
Následne nato pribudla aj preprava plynu - butadiénu v relácii Mukačevo - Wesseling.
Rovnako aj v tomto prípade zachádzajú rušne dopravcu až do ukrajinského Čopu.
19. apríla sa práve cisterien s butadiénom ujala "Nataša" 182.053 a za ňou radená ako vlaková 740.711.
Od Varína sa do čela vlaku postavil Vectron 193.730.
Auf meinem Weg nach Brühl erspähte ich in der Ferne eine DE18, welche sich auf dem Weg zum Godorfer Hafen befand. Bei Wesseling-Berzdorf positionierte ich mich dann, und wartete ein wenig. Nach etwa einer halben Stunde kam sie dann - DE 509 mit einem Kesselwagenzug auf dem Weg nach Vochem.
Na achtervolging van de chloortrein namen we een kijkje langs de Rechterrijn en de Linkerrijn, maar zoals verwacht viel er niks te beleven. We besloten de Keulse haven in te duiken, waar altijd wel activiteit is. Aangekomen in Godorf Hafen zagen we een gasketeltrein vertrekken. Na een korte achtervolging vonden we een open stek. Maar niet de gasketeltrein, maar een andere keteltrein passeerde ons.
RheinCargo DH716 met dieselolie keteltrein van Shell Rheinland Raffinerie in Wesseling op weg naar Brühl.
