Wedding bus VG 10 with all the bells & whistles to Lucan on an evening 25A.

Broadstone based Wright Gemini's VG 9 & 10 were delivered in wedding bus livery, generally operating peak time xpresso routes, along with N4 additional services as above.

From a styled shoot at the Van Dusen Mansion in Minneapolis, MN. One of my favorite venues to work at. This was from a shoot in 2022 so its time to finally share some!

The Haldi ceremony is a ritual holy bath, (variously known as pithi ceremony, gaaye holud, gatro horidra, tel Baan, pellikuturu, mangala snaman )which is one of the pre-wedding ceremonies in Hindu weddings of India. Ground and pasted Turmeric (Haldi), oil is applied and water is poured on both the bride and groom by married women on the morning of the wedding. Turmeric is known for its medicinal properties as well as being antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, and application of this ingredient before marriage would ensure that the bride and groom are blessed with blemish-free glowing skin. At times sandalwood and curd are also mixed with the paste. Yellow is considered a color associated with happiness and harmony, a ritual flower-shower with yellow flowers ( preferably marigold) is followed by the application of the Haldi paste and a haldi-Holi ( throwing of yellow colors) is played. Often the decor of the Haldi ceremony is done in bright summer colors with preferably yellow and white flowers, and the relatives are encouraged to wear yellow, orange, and white-colored clothes. The bride traditionally wears something in yellow and often wears flower jewelry. Women in the house, also sing local folk songs associated with the ritual while applying turmeric paste on the bride/groom. The family feeds sweets to each other after the ritual is over.

Once again it was an honor to be apart of your big day and capture these moments that'll last you a lifetime. Admittedly I was a bit nervous stepping out of my comfort zone. This was my first wedding. I'm not use to photographing more than one subject at a time. Let alone being in front of crowds of people. Photography will always be my passion. When I hold that camera to my face, and look through that viewfinder I suddenly feel normal like I'm not suffering from a debilitating pain. My passion for photography keeps me pushing on from the pain that I've been marred by. For now I live to capture the stories of the lives that have lived them. Following the withdrawl from private hire & in particualr wedding bus hire, the wedding adframes were replaced with traditional advertisements pending respray into traditional Dublin Bus colours.

It was truely the end of "Wedding Bus " - thinking back to the very start when KD366 first appeared in bridal white & every handrail wrapped in floral trim.

Clontarf Enviro400 EV 88, one of two in the garage, delivered in wedding bus format is seen at its Portmarnock terminus for route 42, with a Just Eat ad replacing the wedding bells.

Clontarf Garage AV 416 in pristine condition on route 32A to Malahide.

Certain trips on routes 32 & 32B to Portmarnock are extended to Malahide, offering connections with radial route 102 to Dublin Airport.

Route 32A offers spectacular views along the Coast Road in Portmarnock, all the way to Malahide. You know your out in the countryside when the stage points are still listed with some romantically old names such as The Farm & Monks Meadow.

The streets were cleared for this shot of wedding bus AV 416, which was joined with similar AV 417 at Clontarf in wedding format.

Dublin Bus Broadstone Garage RV 630, this really was the garage pet at the time, given its special purpose as a wedding bus, used for those special days, so had to be kept pristine & away from the ravages of certain routes, usually confined to the expresso 50X.

From time to time, it did wander, captured above on cross city route 123 between Marino & Drimnagh, 15th May 2004.
