L'édition 2024 a attiré plus de 2 000 candidatures soumises par 450 photographes de 63 pays et les prix stipulent que le concours existe pour « soutenir, récompenser, célébrer et promouvoir la photographie de mariage exceptionnelle dans le monde entier ».

The winning and highly-commended images from the eighth International Wedding Photography Of The Year Awards have been announced with the impressive finalists showcasing the very best from this demanding photography genre.

2024’s edition drew over 2,000 entries submitted by 450 photographers from 63 countries and the awards state that the competition exists to “support, reward, celebrate and promote exceptional wedding photography worldwide” !

Cretan wedding the traditional way, 2nd photo. Traditional weddings in Crete have at least 800 guests and organized in a central square of the village. The guy in the photo is a friend of the broom and he is one of the dancers of the dancing group. In Crete there are many traditional dancing groups and in every occasion they go dancing wearing the old traditional Cretan costumes
