10|01|2008: Scheels sporting good store opened last weekend. It's gigantic and there has been a lot of hype about it. We drive by it everyday to & from work, and have watched as the ferris wheel & scale model airplane were put in. We stopped in tonight to check it out. Apparently it is 295,000 square feet, & is home to: a ferris wheel; taxidermied animal displays; a shooting gallery; a fudge shop; life-size animitronic presidents (well only Lincoln really moved...creepy!); race car driving simulators; two 16,000 gallon aquariums in the form of arches so you can walk under the fish; and many, many expensive sporting goods. I ran around jumping up & down & excitidedly calling to my husband "ooooooooh, I want these boots!" "ooooooooo, look girl Seahawk jerseys!" "oooooooh, look bicycle riding skirts!" "swim goggles!" "check out this awesome zippered hoody, it's only $160!" I did come home with a couple treasures, but I swear we did not spend more than $20.

the rest of the interface sucks for so many reasons, it just doesn't flow, there is overlap in function, inconsistency in interface. and there seems to be a problem with actually saving changes, fundamental!

mit Liebe und Hingabe gemalt, wobei vier Punkte in dem Kreuz dass Wissen der vier Veden (Rig- Yayur- Sama- und Arthavaveda) darstellen.
Man erklärte mir, dass man die Bedeutung des Kreuzes erahnen kann, wenn man dass 100.000 Verse umfassende literarische Werk, die Mahabharata verstanden hat.
Demnach bedeutet es "Das Wissen der Veden" Da aber in diesem Zeitalter, laut Veden, dieses Wissen langsam in Vergessenheit gerät, gibt es schon jetzt (fast) nur noch Spekulationen darüber.

Quelle Wikipedia: Kabaddi (Hindi: कबड्डी, kabaḍḍī) ist eine Mannschaftssportart, die hauptsächlich in Süd- und Südostasien betrieben wird.
Beim Kabaddispiel stehen sich zwei Mannschaften zu je sieben Spielern gegenüber mit jeweils fünf Reservespielern. Das Spiel wird in zwei Halbzeiten zu je 20 Minuten auf einem Spielfeld mit 12,50 m mal 8 m Größe ausgetragen.
Jede Mannschaft
besitzt eine Hälfte des Spielfelds. Ziel des Spiels ist es, gegnerische Spieler entweder abzuschlagen oder gefangen zu nehmen.
Dafür wird von einer Mannschaft ein Räuber (Raider) ausgesandt, der die gegnerischen Spieler in ihrer Hälfte abschlagen muss. Dabei hat er, solange er in der gegnerischen Hälfte ist, den Atem anzuhalten und ständig "kabaddi, kabaddi" (den sogenannten cant) zu sagen, bis er die eigene Hälfte wieder erreicht hat.
Daran versucht ihn die gegnerische Mannschaft, zu hindern.
Wenn der Raider sicher zurückgekehrt ist und im gegnerischen Feld kein zweites Mal Luft holen musste, ist der Raid erfolgreich, und seine Mannschaft bekommt entsprechend der markierten und herausgenommenen Gegenspieler Punkte, ansonsten die verteidigende Mannschaft.
Der Name Kabaddi leitet sich von einem Hindiwort her, das so viel wie den Atem halten bedeutet. Dieser Ausruf wird vom Raider auch während des Spiels gebraucht.
Bei den Asienspielen 2006 in Doha holte sich Indien nach einem 35:23 gegen Pakistan die Goldmedaille. Dritter wurde Bangladesch (37:26 gegen den Iran).

Hello, I am Philip Cote. My thoughts when first seeing the nicely drafted Avro Lancaster bomber was a memory of my grandfather and how he was a skilled boat builder. I remember going for a boat ride around Georgian Bay when I was a boy. I remember the sound of the motor of this boat, it sounded amazing and the look of this boat was of a dark mahogany lacquer finish. At the time I was 7 years old so the whole boat ride was like a dream. My grandfather's name was Harvey, but we called him Grandpa. He was a full-blooded Potawatomi from Moose Deer Point First Nation. It’s a reserve just south of Parry Sound but he lived in Parry Sound. I remember going to visit him over those early years in my life. I remember playing in the back of his home where there was pink granite everywhere on a great sloping hill out back of his home. That was my playground. One day while there I brought out a toy airplane, it was a replica of a World War II fighter plane. He talked about that plane in detail about how fast it was and even how it was built like a boat, and I asked him how? He said these planes were made of wood and that’s what made them very light and that was why they fly so fast. I told him I had a Spitfire, and it was one of the fastest planes during World War II but my grandpa started to talk about the Mosquito and how it was one the fastest planes during World War II and how he was one of those craftsmen who helped build these Mosquito planes. He said because he was such a well-known boat builder the Canadian Air Force came looking for him because they heard of his reputation for building fine boats. He went to Ottawa for training to read blueprints and to work from engineering blueprints and there began building the Mosquito for World War II with De Havilland.
It’s now been 77 years since he was there making a difference in the defense of our country back in 1944. Seventy-five years ago today, the de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito took flight for the first time. The Mosquito was one of the most useful Allied Aircrafts of World War II. It performed as a bomber, fighter, anti-shipping and photo-reconnaissance platform. The key to the success of the “Wooden Wonder” was its light wood construction and the power of its twin engine, the “Merlin” engines which were Rolls Royce engines. These engines gave it the speed to out fly almost any other aircraft type from the war. Nicknamed the “mossie” by its crews, the Mosquito could fly virtually unchallenged and deliver devastatingly precise attacks with bombing radar. Production of all Mosquitoes totaled 7,781 and the DH.98 served with over a dozen nations. A Mosquito became the first twin-engine aircraft to land on a ship on March 25, 1944, aboard the Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Indefatigable.
Mounting an SB800 to an Alien Bees Beauty Dish
The "speedring" consists of a 3 In. PVC DWV MIP Adapter Hub as the light stand mount and a 3 In. Qwik Cap as a retainer and flash mount.
1. Drill and tap a 1/4"-20 threaded hole in the PVC adapter to receive the 1/4" threaded connector that comes with your umbrella stand.
2. Attach the connector to the PVC adaptor.
3. Using a utility knife, cut a opening in the Quik Cap to hold the diffuser cap from the flash unit.
4. Cut the top off the flash diffuser cap so it can be used to mount the flash to the quik cap
5. Place the modified diffuser cap in the opening you cut in the quik cap (friction fit)
6. Attach the PVC "speedring" to the light stand & slip the beauty dish over the threads.
7. On the inside of the beauty dish attach the quick cap to the PVC "speedring" (friction fit) thus holding the beauty dish in place.
8. Snap the flash unit onto the diffuser cap to complete the assembly.
