Orb-weaver spider (Nephila sp.)

I caught this guy on the way into Fashion Cares. He was on the outside of the Convention Centre. I shot from inside.

It was the second unlikely spider sighting of the day. The first was while I was grabbing breakfast at Clafouti. There was a spider only slightly smaller than this guy climbing up to the light fixture from the cash register. Unfortunately he moved too quickly for me to get a bead on him.
