I saw this tree a few days ago and I told my hubby he was going to have to take me back to take pics of it! Sure enough a few days later he drove me to the spot, he pulled over, I jumped out and he drove around the block a few times! LOL then I saw the bluebonnets across the street (from yesterday's upload) made him drive around, and same thing, I jumped out he drove around. I was literally laying on the ground getting the shots of the bluebonnets and people were driving by honking and stuff! It was funny! The things we do for flickr!

I'm sorry if the colors look all jacked up on your end! I had to edit this on my windows laptop which renders the colors so washed out!

Happy Caturday - Waterplay

Miley prefers her water from the tap and she is very vocal until she gets her way.

Happy Caturday and enjoy your weekend! Stay warm and be safe!

I put the sprinkler in the yard and turned it on knowing Lucy our boxer would play in the water. DSC_1273 copy-CR

Macro Mondays theme: Stripes and Dots.

The stripes are provided by a reflection of colourful stripes on water from some wrapping paper and the use of HSS flash. [The portion shown in this image is within the 3inch measurement requirement.] HMM...

Final moments at the beach before heading for home. Cap Brule, New Brunswick.

I love watching the water flowing among the rocks on the coast. Sometimes I can still see the motion.

"Play is the beginning of knowledge."

another pic from yesterday's water fun...same background, just a different angle. I might like this one better; I can't really decide. lol By the way, the background is sparkly wrapping paper!

On a hot day, a pair of youth play in the water and ham it up for the camera on the Tukad Unda dam, Bali Island, Indonesia.

Etta at Lawson Dog Park

In the lush wetlands of Chobe National Park, Botswana, an African elephant cools off in the shallows, showering itself in water and light. The close-up captures both the raw power and the tender precision of this iconic animal as it grazes and bathes—an intimate moment in one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich landscapes.

a burst of laughter cuts through the rhythm of falling water, as a girl runs barefoot past the shimmering curtain, her motion frozen in the split second between shadow and light.

The smallest children love the lit up fountains the best, but they aren't switched on later in the evening. Water and lights, a win-win combination at the Festival of Lights, Southampton.

barefoot and laughing, she races beside the glittering wall of water, each droplet catching the sunlight as the city fades behind a veil of summer spray.

It's that split moment in time as the water hits the surface...of a stainless steel bowl in this instance. The kitchen distractions are real! :)
