A happy young rider (aged 10) visibly enjoying the water jump at Mostyn Farm ride, Flintshire, North Wales, UK

Spirit was shying away from all puddles the day before this was taken. Known as 'bogey' fences in cross country, he is just getting used to jumping so was trotted in and out of the water a few times before clearing this mid water jump like a hero!

I have been very very ill with 'flu this week - haven't been so sick in a long while. I suppose it's not surprising after our temps dropped from 70F to 34F in less than 12 hours! Temps have recovered a little, but basically we plunged into winter overnight - shock to the system after the summer we've had!! I am starting to recover, but as I haven't even had a cold for over 3 years this has been a shock to the system as well!!

Same girl as previous photo competing on her second horse after the fall on the first. They have just jumped over that big jump in the background and down into the water. She did finish the course on the first horse - oh and the second!

Over the water jump on the Grand National course at Aintree

On day 1 of the Grand National meeting 2015

During our road trip through northern Sweden, we made a stop in Luleå. Situated just 65 kilometers south of the Arctic Circle, the city held no specific landmarks on our agenda. All we desired was a cup of coffee and a chance to stretch our legs. As we strolled along the promenade of the marina, which overlooks the Gulf of Bothnia, we stumbled upon a captivating sight. A group of lively teenagers were joyfully leaping into the water from a nearby boat house. Despite the outside temperatures hovering around a pleasant 20 degrees Celsius, the water must have been a chilly 16 to 18 degrees. It was far too cold for our liking, but their carefree spirits were undeterred. For me, this presented a perfect opportunity to capture a photograph, a lasting memento of that moment and the city that I may never have the chance to revisit – Luleå, Norrbotten County, Sweden

Serendipity is one of the most delightful of canyons, and is suitable for those with little abseil or canyon experience. Serendipity offers four wet abseils and a heart in your throat waterjump.

Although the abseils are not long, they offer passage to the deeper sections of the canyon, the hemmed in nature of the walls and water throughout the abseil sections add to their appeal.

Beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife - especially yabbies - also enhance the experience of this canyon. Lunch can be enjoyed on a sunny rock platform at the junction of Serendipity and the Wollangambe River, near where this is taken.

2014 Bortiatyn, Ukraine www.piotrowskipawel.pl/memorable // In july 2014 and july 2015 me and young volunteers from Municipality Dobroszyce (place where I live in Poland) took part in annual action „Great-grandfather’s grave save from oblivion”, to save Polish necropolis left behind the eastern border of Poland – in Sudova Vyshnia, Ukraine. It is worth noting that Dobroszyce is a town situated in the "Recovered Territories" – many of its inhabitants came to this area from the eastern borderlands, in that the Sudova Vyshnia. Action „Great-grandfather’s grave save from oblivion” gave many young people from Lower Silesia opportunity to „travel to the roots” during which they can see for themselves the place of origin of their ancestors. A weeklong stay in the East allowed participants to clear up the cemetery and the graves, gain knowledge of the history of this place, and allowed Polish youth to establish familiarity with Ukrainian peers and Poles living in Sudova Vyshnia.

A burst of summer energy captured at Nes Marina, where the sun slips toward the horizon and the evening turns gold. The moment freezes mid‑air—pure joy, pure movement, and the unmistakable feel of Scandinavian summer nights.

World athletics - USA athlete Jager ultimately won bronze - terrific race. The press boys certainly earned their passes with the positions they adopted.

I went to Our local celebration of the Cherry crop Known here as The Cherry Festival. One of the thing to do was the Ultimate Air Dog competitions. They can jump a long way. Then land in water. I was hoping to get some cool action shots. This is just one.

Below is a series of how this rider got into this predicament - to keep my dear friend Monica happy :-).

This is the final one...
