A view of the U.S. Capitol Building from the southeast, and a COLD ONE at that.

Twas a cold and windy night…

Hirshhorn-D.C.

A view (looking west) from the steps of the United States Capitol across the National Mall.

Visible are the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial, the Washington Monument & the Lincoln Memorial.

Between the Capitol steps and the Lincoln Memorial, the Mall spans 1.9 miles.

Smithsonian Castle is also visible to the left.

**Someone told me they think the Grant statue looks like Indiana Jones. Now that's all I see.

Taken around this time last year.

At the United States Botanic Garden in D.C.

Behind the Hirshhorn with Smithsonian Arts & Industries Building in the background. I have a picture of the pumpkin from a couple of years before this, when it was in the museum. I was excited to see it again outside.

At the Smithsonian American Art Museum. This sculpture is called "Nenuphar", Sanskrit word for lotus or water lily.

Silly me, I had thought this was at a different museum in D.C. And there are many. No wonder I couldn't find its title and description.
