"Half-term holiday, family away
Half-wanting to go, half-wanting to stay
Stay in bed for half the day.
Half-read, half-listen to the radio
Half-think things through. Get up,
Half-dressed, half-wonder what to do.
Eat half a loaf, drink half a bottle
(Save the other half until later).
Other half rings up. Feel better."
- Roger McGough, 'Half-term' (1999)

I was digging the archives searching for a certain picture when I stumbled upon this one.
It was taken the day after x-mas last year when I visited the cemetary where my grandparents rest in peace. As you can see it was a magical day.

"It's Amazing
With the blink of an eye you finally see the light
It's Amazing
When the moment arrives that you know you'll be alright
It's Amazing
And I'm sayin' a prayer for the desperate hearts tonight"~Aerosmith
....and yes my peeps..there is a beautiful..perfectly shaped heart at the bottom portion of the center light!!! Just a shot from the camera...as the sun hit through a branch on a pine tree..There were so many water droplets due to the melting snow that the light bounced everywhere..was as beautiful in person....

At a Luminaria party at Kris's home in the Phoenix Homesteads. Brooklyn and Kris must have shared a good thought.
Yes, I was outside and shooting through the screen door when Brooklyn turned around and caught me. At Kris's home during a Luminaria party in our neighborhood.
Duck Lake State Park, North Muskegon, Michigan - July 2006.
Lake Michigan viewable in the background, Duck Lake behind me.
My wife on the left.
My hungry friend on the right and his brother circling above.
Only added an 85 warm filter (about 50 percent) in Photoshop because the sand was a little grey.
Shot this two years ago with my older Nikon Coolpix 7600 that I just got back from my son who borrowed it from my daughter who's camera broke at one time..... still in surprisingly good shape.
I'll be using it for its digital movie capabilities and pocket sized goodness. The only thing different from my DSLR is the aspect ratio of these photos. Not as wide.
Power on!
