Warwick Bar Conservation Area covers an area of 16.2 hectares (40 acres) where the Birmingham-to-London Grand Union Canal meets the Digbeth Branch Canal.[1] It was designated such status on 25 June 1987.[2] It covers the entire length of the Digbeth Branch Canal through the Eastside area and a section of the River Rea. To the south is the Digbeth, Deritend and Bordesley High Streets Conservation Area.[1]
The conservation area includes three of the statutorily listed buildings in Birmingham, each built by the canal company in the 1840s and 1850s, and a locally listed canal warehouse built in 1935. In total, there are five listed buildings and six locally listed buildings.[1] One locally listed building, the former Co-op furniture factory works (1899) on Belmont Row was destroyed by fire on 11 January 2007 in a suspected arson attack. Seventy-five percent of the building was damaged by a fire which caused the roof to collapse and which also destroyed seven arched windows.[3] On 18 January 2007, the façade of the building, which had survived the fire albeit smoke damaged, collapsed in on itself in high winds owing to the lack of support it received after the fire had been put out. This building had been due to be redeveloped as part of the Ventureast regeneration project

Every unit around this building is drab, so clearly someone had decided to be different. Taken on a Nikon F3 and Kodak ColorPlus 200
Up the street from SPUD St.Paul,MN. looking toward old Gillette warehouse (now Saints Stadium). The buildings on right had rail spurs and doors. Note the extensive fire escape iron work. Required by law after the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist fire in NYC with great loss of life. 146.
When we visited the Sihang Warehouse museum back in 2019, it was not very crowded and apparently often overlooked.
However, since the release of the Mainland Chinese war film, The Eight Hundred, it has recently received renewed interest from visitors once again.
Sihang Warehouse was an important part of the Battle of Shanghai in 1937 with the National Revolutionary Army's 88th Division defending the warehouse against attacks from the Imperial Japanese Army, within sight of the foreign settlements right across the river.
Some parts of the building today apparently still has the actual bullet holes and marks from the 1937 battle.
Connecticut Southern train CSO-4 crosses the Warehouse Point Railroad Bridge with two former LMX B39-8s, the leader is still wearing the LMX paint.
The Speicherstadt in Hamburg, Germany is the largest warehouse district in the world. It is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-see on every trip to Hamburg.

A concrete warehouse rises into the sky in Dallas’ Cedars neighborhood on the south side of Downtown.
The printing plate of a typical Amsterdam canal warehouse from 300 years ago in lead and brass (I think) to get an original inked screen print of that. This was in the shop window of a small printing house with a press. I suspect that this printing plate is about 30 years old.
It was once a warehouse for Biederman’s furniture. There’s also a sign on the place that says American Stamp Company. Thanks for looking at another relic in the river north area in Saint Louis, MO USA.
