Black walnut kernels are a high-energy food that is rich in healthy oils, vitamins and minerals. Eating walnuts is good for the heart and the circulatory system, and has been shown to lower cholesterol. Black walnuts are also very rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin C. They been shown to help relieve colic and heartburn.

We had a great harvest of black walnuts this year, and my husband is doing a great job of cracking them. So far, we have a full quart of nice pieces.

I went back and shot some of these again - considered using a green filter but not much difference from no filter, apart from loss of light, so went without.
Orange filter will be good for certain things, and for landscapes shot with delta 400 or 100, which feels to me from immediate experience markedly less contrasty.
