A walk through Clifton Down in the November sunshine, the last of the autumnal colour still on the trees and the floor a bed of golden leaves.

Happy Friday from the colorful west!

I Walk the Walk !!!

after the fog cleared, hoar frost remained… a 'follow-up' from 2018/2019.

is when all this landscape is mostly just for me… only me.

mosel-eifel at it’s best!

Sunrise over the Firth of Forth

after a cold, foggy day… and the sunset is peeking through for a brief moment, just before the fog drifted back into the scene. packed in like an eskimo and out for a beautiful sunset walk… was koennte schoener sein!

Fun before the 26.2 mile Edinburgh Moonwalk.

In the pink.......Edinburgh Castle

jede gelegenheit nutzen oder gelegenheiten schaffen um sie dann zu nutzen… eigtl egal, hauptsache raus! wie heisst es so schoen: when you stop to expect beauty to come from somewhere else, only then can you start to notice it everywhere. schoen hier!

On my home after a heavy downpour of rain I walked around the old, very old, remains of what was an outdoor swimming pool ... it was opened in 1931 and closed in 1972.

Stay Safe and Healthy Everyone!

Thanks to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... Thanks to you all!

as in a 'walk-in-the-woods'. crunchy snow under the feet, frosty air in the nose… except us walking there, everything is peaceful and silent outside. that kind of wintry mood that doesn’t happen so often anymore… so let’s enjoy this as much as we can!

such a beautiful view and at the very same time a bitter cold place to be. a fond memory nevertheless... since they rebuild the power grid, a whole bunch of power lines are crisscrossing this view, so enjoy this photograph, as this very view is not the same anymore…

spannende lichtsituation auf der abendrunde. die eingangsfrage war: regenjacke mitnehmen? am ende nicht notwendig… es war nur licht, kein wasser!

walked back to my car in the dark… although it wasn’t too bad, because of the snow. the sunset was worth it staying outside in my favorite woodland. again… just flippin' G R E A T!!!

everyone loves sunrises, catching some nice warm sunrays after a chilly night out in the meadows…

my favorite woodland area too far away from my car close to sunset… i couldn’t resist and got to walk back during twilight and in the dark! it was G R E A T!

Hi all, sorry I have been away for a while. Been busy with family and work so not had time to go out and play with the camera. Hopefully more free time to indulge myself. Here is a little souvenir from the Moonwalk London 2016. Thank you to those who chipped in. I personally raised over £400 and our work team together raised over 3K. Our team crossed the line in all sorts of different times. Chris, my walking mate and I crossed in 8 hours 40 mins.

On the right Path? Have good Intentions?

I'm a little geeked right now. Have a picture in the new Faygo book that just got published, and Gaz Coombes is performing in Detroit next week - hoping to make it out to see him as I haven't seen him live before.

Walk the Walk have set up there pink tents around the Battersea Power Station. "Walk the Walk is a grant making charity not only dedicated to raising money for vital breast cancer causes but is also passionate about encouraging women and men to become fitter and healthier and take control of their own wellbeing. Our flagship events are The MoonWalk and SunWalk but Walk the Walk also takes teams of women and men to challenges all over the UK and across the world to raise money and awareness."

Well, I didn't golf this morning due to my golf buddy having an appointment that he couldn't change so off for a good walk this morning!

It certainly was a nice day with some lovely sunshine but it was another blustery day, albeit, not as cold as the last few days!!

This is a photograph of a medal that Mrs G and other family members, friends and thousands of women across Britain will have proudly worn after completing the 'Moonwalk' in London in May, earlier this year.

It is a fun event, with a serious edge - in that they have to walk a marathon (26.2 miles) through the night, around the streets of our capital city in order to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

The women (and a few men), are asked to walk in fancily decorated bras and imaginative, colourful outfits.

The photograph below shows the 'Hull's Angels' in their 'Olympic Themed' outfits finishing the walk!

The 'support team' (ie the men) give encouragement to the girls throughout the night, helping to spur them on. It is a long night for all, but for a very worthy cause and I freely admit to getting quite choked watching and cheering as the girls finish! It is clear to see, that some of the women involved struggle to hold back the emotions when stepping across that finish line - so many having had relations or friends disfigured or taken from them by this horrible disease.

To Mrs G, the Hull's Angels and all the other women 'Walking the Walk', I salute you! You are all Olympians as far as I am concerned and I am very proud of your achievement.

Plans are already afoot for next year - which will be Mrs G's third time.

Moonwalks are also held in Edinburgh, New York & Iceland.

Last year it was painted in this very vibrant Pink colour in support for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Lothian Buses staff were also involved in fundraising for the charity, and with a small donation were all allowed to wear Pink Clothing of some description for the day.

This year 856 is now being used to support WalktheWalks Moonwalk Scotland, taking place in Edinburgh on June 7th.
