In 1974 ging de eerste Benelux-trekduwtrein rijden, waarvoor 8 Plan D restauratie rijtuigen werden omgebouwd in de werkplaats van Tilburg.
Op deze foto zien we stuurstandrijtuig type WRDs met nummer 6184 87-38 102-1 bij de Werkplaats Tilburg, 26 mei 1974 (Het oude Plan D nummer 51 84 87-40 102-9 staat nog op de ruit!)

"Chassis number: VF7AZKA00KA249152.
"Finished in red-and-white with a grey interior, this right-hand drive Citroën “Dolly” 2CV is showing 37,529 miles on its odometer. It comes with an advisory-free MoT which is valid to 12th May 2026.
"The car received a bodywork refurbishment in 2021, together with a light engine overhaul. Many parts were replaced, including voltage regulator, vent flap, door trims, window catches, all glass seals and windscreen, one new rear wing, starter motor and many other items. The outer shell was repainted, although the interior was retained as original. This was in addition to structural refurbishment projects in 2015 and 2017, and all 5 tyres were replaced in May last year.
"It comes with a large stack of receipts for parts and maintenance ranging from the early 1990s to 2025, together with a Haynes workshop manual and the current V5C. The vendor acquired the car in 2024, and its previous keeper had owned it for nearly 13 years. It was first registered on 5th January 1987."
Estimate: £5000 to £6000. Sold for £8964 including premium.

Looking more like Hogwarts in this view is Coventry Grammar School which was designed by Edward Burgess and opened in 1885, enlarged 1889 and again in 1936, restored, after bomb damage, 1950. Tudor style. Red brick, stone dressings, tiled roof.
Eighteen years old and still giving sterling service to First Cymru, 42412 N212 WRD, runs along West Way in Swansea on route 59. Wednesday 17th September 2014. DSCN31330.
