My first time on shooting from this side of Science World. Now that the Olympic Village is open, I will definitely come back.

Here in the north, we now have a season where both spring and summer alternate. It's been summer for the last few days, so warm, so beautiful. The colors of nature are gentle and soft. And when I look at the surface of the lake, another world opens up.

Windsor, Ontario has a wonderful riverfront view of Detroit, Michigan. The two cities share the Detroit River, which serves as the international border between Canada and the United States. Two of my favourite subjects to photograph along the river are the Detroit skyline, and this old water pumping station on the Windsor side of the river. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, this old structure is an example architecturally of a much different time, compared to the buildings along Detroit’s riverfront.

This 20 metres tall, 12 tons heavy sculpture made of steel, by the Chinese sculptor Yao Yuan, can be found in Grandcamp-Maisy (where it is quite eye-catching, let me tell you!). The piece, called La Paix dans le Monde (which means World Peace in French) was inaugurated in 2004 in memory of the 1944 D-Day landings in the area.

I guess it's World Elephant Day today. Didn't know until I saw a couple posts about it so I had to bring this back.
This is from some time ago but I decided to put it up again to honor elephants. They have to be one of my favorite animals.
This is me actually getting hugged by an elephant. Her name is Susie. Can you feel the joy? I was on the verge of joyful laughing.
