Similar to an image posted a couple of weeks ago; this was taken on a very calm morning above the weir on the River Derwent at Calver.
The weir in Monsal Dale under flood conditions, taken from the left bank, with light catching the spray to create a rainbow effect, Peak District, Derbyshire, England.
The town of Drakenburg with the Weser weir.
The weir serves to regulate the water levels in the middle reaches of the Weser river and as a run-of-the-river power plant.
In the upper right is the ship lock canal, river barges can bypass the weir on this canal which includes a lock.

Warleigh weir waterfall after rainy weather. Warleigh weir on the river Avon is popular with swimmers on a fine summer day. The weir and Claverton Claverton pump station was built at the beginning of 18th century to pump water from the river Avon to the Kennet and Avon Canal. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claverton_Pumping_Station Claverton village near Bath, BathNES, UK.
This was my favourite picture of the castle. The other two I looked for different angles including the bridge but this one is probably the most shot angle.

Weir on the River Witham. The reflections are abruptly cut off by the weir, so they look as though they are hanging in space!
……. Another view of the Weir on the River Teme at Ludlow. This bridge was formerly know as the New Bridge when it was built by Thomas Telford back in 1823 - wouldn’t mind a penny per gallon thats flowed under it since then!! ….. Alan:-)
