Bite your tongue
Don't make a scene, dear
Everybody's been here
At least once before
But we've been here more
Your heartbreak
Rolls down the window
I've seen it all go
And come back around
And I've heard the sound
The tip of your tongue
The top of your lung is doing my head in
I said I love don't mean nothing
Unless there's something worth fighting for
It's a beautiful war
When I hold
The warmth of your body
There is nobody that I'd rather hold
Shattered and cold
I said I love – it don't mean nothing
Unless there's something worth fighting for
It's a beautiful war
Weary images of destruction,
Wreaths of blood covered roses,
Soldiers defoliated lives.
Images the mind cannot errace,
Images the world should embrace,
And cry those tears for war.

Ooh, a storm is threatening
My very life today
If I don't get some shelter
Ooh yeah I'm gonna fade away
War, children
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Ooh, see the fire is sweepin'
Our streets today
Burns like a red coal carpet
Mad bull lost its way
War, children
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at Black Masses
...In the fields, the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
Oh lord, yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah
Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait till their judgement day comes, yeah!
Now in darkness, world stops turning
Ashes where their bodies burning
No more war pigs have the power

''...And so this is Xmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The road is so long
And so happy Xmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight
A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear...''

During our War Horse walk (see previous upload), we did encounter many Dartmoor ponies. This one at least had the same nice brown colour like Joey from the film but missing the white socks and spot on the head. I took this photo next to Drizzlecombe, a fantastic Bronze age settlement with long stone rows, round houses, cists and huge standing stones..very impressive!
'Conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional.' (Max Lucado)
Will there be a day, when all leaders of the world will become teachers, who will teach peace to their people?
Will there be a day, when all children of the world will learn peace, and their choices will not be driven by fear or hatred, but reason and love instead?
Will there be a day, when those children will grow up and be the new leaders for us who will create a world, where the idea of war will be as far as the idea of slavery in today's world?
Will there be a day, when in a war-free world, all humans can collectively commemorate the defeat of Mars - God of War, with a statue of remembrance, the marking of the greatest achievement of human mankind?
...
Fanaticism, patriotism, profitism, all the many delusional psychopathic thought chains and lies leading towards fear, death, destruction and cross-generational suffering. Leaders of nations should know better, speak better and do better - they should all lead and transcend their people further and away from those thoughts for a better world for our children.
In the absence of leaders who serve humanity from the positions they occupy, we all need to be the teachers and leaders to our people and our children instead. We all should talk to them about their choices, about love, about the ways of leaving Mars behind, so one day we can build that final statue of Mars, and send it away from Earth to where it belongs, to planet Mars instead.

Wait 'till their judgement day comes, yeah
Now in darkness world stops turning,
Ashes where the bodies burning
No more War Pigs have the power,
Hand of God has struck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees the war pigs crawling,
Begging mercies for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings
Oh Lord yeah
Located at Mill Pond Meadow in the outskirts of Featherstone is a different war memorial. 353 simple crosses, each representing a member of the local community who didn't return home after the First World War make for a permanent memorial. Each cross has a tree that has been planted at its side. Watching over these memorials is a huge steel War Horse.
The site provides a lovely place to visit, reflect and hope for peace.

You probably have come across this term. Wikipedia would give you a variety of definitions and explanations. From the perspective of the UK and, important to clarify, from my own point of view, I would say that what is being talked about is a struggle for power over public opinion and the control of the media. Political interest groups use "hot-button" issues (racism, gender roles, Brexit, immigration, the interpretation of colonial history etc.) as a technique to polarise society and distinguish between "us" and "them". This is not a debate in the interest of truth. It is all about bullying and pushing certain agendas through. In other words, culture wars have intentional consequences. When a public TV channel with critical news reporting is being "privatised" or when the public BBC is threatened with a redrafting of its charter, you know that very likely culture wars are involved. War is useless, war is pain. Everyday innocent people dying for what, for greed of one lunatic.
This is for the people of Ukraine but also for the people of Russia who don't know exactly what happen and their sons dying in the fields of Ukraine.
We are people, we are all individuals but we are one as humankind in this universe.
STOP THE WAR!
