In March of 2023, my sister and I were given a HUGE haul of 166 dolls. Since so many of the dollies were in great condition, I decided not to film a transformation video featuring all of them. So we made this haul video so you could still see them all.

***I made a few mistakes in the video--we got Sun Sensation Ken (not Hawaiian Fun). One of the Disney Store Jasmine dolls is actually a 2015 JC Penney Wardrobe Set doll.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I am obsessed with this doll...completely and utterly besotted. When she first arrived in the "Mountains of Monsters Lot," I admit I overlooked her a bit. Someone had very generously sent my sister and me two boxes of dolls in March of 2023 (predominantly Monster High). I was overwhelmed by the sheer population of dolls, so I couldn't absorb each and every face. This Barbie was a little trickier to identify since she was missing her outfit and was too old to have a code on her back. But I was able to identify her relatively efficiently. Her hair was very grey and dreaded looking when we met. She had stumps remaining in her ear holes from her factory earrings. The dangling gems must have been broken off some time before. It wasn't until I had given her a thorough day at the spa, picked an outfit, and made her earrings, when I swooned over this doll. That smokey makeup, the awkward straight arms...she reminds me SO very much of my favorite Hair-tastic Color & Design Salon Barbie (the one my sister bought for the Skipper ensemble she was sporting). I just feel my heart burst every time I gaze at this Barbie. I know she's simple and generic for her era, but I just cannot get enough of her. I was so excited a year later, in February of 2024, when she was reunited with her original dress (from the "Fangtastic February Lot").

I didn't really want to like the Monster High line ... but I can't seem to help myself.

The first one (a Draculaura) fell into my hands a while back, and gradually I found myself feeling guilty for her being all alone ...

so now she has a couple of pals ... obsession begins innocently enough ... :-/

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Yay, yay, yay!!! "Glitz & Glam" Barbie was one of my personal favorites from the "Mountains of Monsters Lot" of 2023. She may be a fairly basic doll, but there is just something so unforgettable about her. My sister likes her too, almost as much as I do. I was SO excited when I reunited her with this dress. Although, I was kind of bummed that I had to take her out of the star printed dress she was previously wearing (which was ironically from the same lot). She dresses SO well in clothes...I think it's that smokey makeup. Anyways, I don't know if the person who gave me Barbie knew this was her dress, when she included it in the 2024 "Fangtastic February Lot." There were several dolls from previous lots she'd given me the year before, that turned up in the 2024 one. It may have just been a major coincidence, that worked out well for my "Glitz & Glam" Barbie. It also played out nicely that I had to undress my Rainbow Hair Barbie, as she was wearing the Cut 'n Style Princess gown one of the new adoptees came in. So I was able to do a clothing/earring swap among the three ladies. "Glitz & Glam" Barbie ended up with the pink jump ring earrings that were previously on Rainbow Hair, since they matched her original dress so spectacularly. And likewise, Rainbow Hair ended up in the star fashion pack and handmade earrings I put together!
