Squared Circle is this weeks Macro Monday theme... I had no clue what to shoot... but while getting out my morning vitamins... I was hit with inspiration!!

Although cold in the middle of the winter is granted, those rare sunny days we get, should cherish and collect all that vitamin the sun provides and manifest the D to come into our lives! x xD

If there's one plant that, despite its fame, is still underestimated, it's today's hidden beauty. The flower is a marvel and a feast for the eyes at every stage of its development. There are also a few impressive details.
The plant has been used as a vegetable or medicinal plant for over 5,000 years. The ancient Egyptians even offered them to the gods as an offering.
It was the medicinal plant of the year 2015. It lowers blood pressure and blood sugar levels and helps with colds, coughs and insect bites.
And last but not least (hence the name of the picture) it is incredibly rich in vitamins (from A to E everything is included) and antioxidants.
In addition, it gives every dish that certain touch because it acts as a natural flavor enhancer (bye bye glutamate).
I am pleased to be able to present them here today. Ladies and gentlemen: the onion.
Wenn es eine Pflanze gibt, die trotz ihrer Berühmtheit immernoch unterschätzt wird, dann ist das unsere heutige versteckte Schönheit. Die Blüte allein ist ein Wunderwerk und in jeder Phase ihrer Entwicklung eine Augenweide. Hinzu kommen noch ein paar beeindruckende Details.
Die Pflanze kommt bereits seit über 5.000 Jahren als Gemüse- oder auch Heilpflanze zum Einsatz. Die alten Äqypter haben sie sogar den Göttern als Opfergabe dargebracht.
Sie war die Heilpflanze des Jahres 2015, senkt den Blutdruck, den Blutzuckerspiegel und hilft bei Erkältungen, Husten oder auch bei Insektenstichen.
Und nicht zuletzt (daher der Name des Bildes) ist sie unfassbar reich an Vitaminen (von A bis E ist alles dabei) und Antioxidantien.
Darüber hinaus verleiht sie jedem Gericht erst die gewisse Note, denn sie wirkt als natürlicher Geschmacksverstärker (bye bye Glutamat)..
