Label reads: “This bottle bears a replica of the signature of our founder, Thomas Hardy, who arrived in South Australia from Devon, England, on 14th August, 1850. In 1853 he planted his first vines, and by 1887 his widespread wine-making activities had reached such considerable importance that he introduced his three sons into the business and formed the Company of Thomas Hardy and Sons Ltd. ‘Thomas Hardy Grand Reserve’ has always been produced by the traditional and time-honoured method of fermentation in the bottle followed by ‘disgorgement’ which produces the highest quality Champagnes.”

The Margan Familyhave been growing grapes in the Hunter Valley Austalia for over 30 years Our philosophy is to concentrate on producing premium wines that are typically characteristicof each selected varietal grown in the warm maritime climate of the Hunter Valley. This wine was hand picked from low yielding dryland vines grown in the belford sub-region of the Hunter Valley The palate has full flavoured lemon citrus characters which are typical of good Hunter Semillons. Fermented without the use of oak and bottled early the wine has been produced to be consumed as a young fresh wine whist the lingering acid finish ensures it's cellaring ability.
