A collaborative project between colleagues at the Medical Education Centre, University of Edinburgh and MSc in E-learning colleagues called the ‘It’s Virtually a Bug’s Life’ project which was conducted in conjunction with the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) first year undergraduate students. The project explored the use of Second Life as an environment for health care simulation.

While many were bald during the event, the Deputy found a hat as he headed off on his patrols. MOSES-DSG

Touring educational sims using Open Sim and hosted on the Reaction Grid.

 

Being a former NH girl and growing up less than 50 miles away from the border with Maine, this sim is one I had to visit. I'm standing in the self-portrait art garden and loving the view!

 

While Open Simulator is in Alpha and thus not as stable as Second Life -- it is open source and Reaction Grid charges only $US25 per month for an entire island.
