Enfant, Maud passait la plupart de son temps seule, principalement parce qu'elle se sentait mal à l'aise face à ses différences avec les autres enfants. Elle était née presque sans menton et était toujours beaucoup plus petite que tout le monde. Cependant, Maud semblait être une enfant heureuse qui aimait le temps qu'elle passait avec ses parents et son frère.
En raison de l'aggravation de la polyarthrite rhumatoïde, Maud ne fut plus en mesure de faire le ménage. Everett prit donc soin de la maison et Maud gagnait l'argent grâce à ses tableaux. Les deux formaient une paire dont Maud était fière. On dit pourtant que son mari avare, Everett, l'a souvent lésée de ses maigres profits, cachant l'argent sous les planches ou dans des pots enterrés dans le jardin. Par avarice, il retirait les piles de la radio pour que Maud ne puisse pas les décharger en écoutant de la musique...
Malgré le manque d'équipements modernes comme la plomberie et l'électricité, la vie de Maud à Marshalltown était heureuse à cause de son son art. Ceux qui se sont arrêtés après avoir vu son panneau «Peintures à vendre» en bord de route ont trouvé une femme calme au sourire ravissant. Son plaisir ne venait pas de la fierté d'avoir fait une peinture, mais de l'intérêt que les autres semblaient porter à son travail.

A Very Virtual Christmas
Christmas, on the NBC island. The Rockefeller Center is one of the most amazing builds I have experienced. DestroyTV, Aimee Weber, Bedazzle Studios, Electric Sheep all involved. An accompaniment to this, a live band, namely Jaycatt Nico and Frogg Marlowe, playing some great piano, guitar music and interesting songs. There was NBC branding everywhere. We were encouraged to go and explore the Peacock Room at the top of the Rockefeller Tower.

Here are some shots from a recent architectural photography shoot that we did for Richmond Park Developments in Calgary Alberta. The night was foggy and cloudy and the twilight just disappeared in under 25 minutes so we were running to get the shots done. Real estate photography, architectural photography is all about timing and unfortunately with what we wanted we didn't have a huge window of time. Thankfully we were able to get what we needed. Thanks to everyone at RPD and Dream Homes for this great experience!

Welcome the virtual tour of NC State University! The employees here at the Undergraduate Admissions Office put together this Flickr page to give potential students a chance to see what life as an NC State student is like.
We did not take any pictures of academic buildings or Centennial campus because we wanted to focus on the main campus and photograph the most historic, most popular and most frequently visited places on campus. We hope you get a sense of what it means to be a part of the NC State community, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask us.
Our tour begins at Talley Student Center, and we will take a look at this part of campus before moving on to west campus and then central campus. We will then travel over the railroad tracks to north and east campus. We will finish our on-campus tour at the tennis complex and baseball stadium.
We will end our tour by taking a trip off campus to visit the RBC Center and Carter Finley Stadium.
