I definitely couldn't help myself when I went to District 20. One of the items that really stood out to me were the exclusive boots released by Breathe, the Blake Boots.
Immediately, I was reminded of the striking and unforgettable pop art of Keith Haring. A man who was more than just his beautiful work, he was a cornerstone of social activism. Especially known for the icons such as the "Radiant Baby," his work could be seen strewn about the streets and tunnels spreading messages of unity and celebration of life. As time went on, though his work began to toy with stronger and darker topics, his message and passion never faded. Even now, he lives on through murals spread through out the world, noteworthy appearances upon the fashion and music world, and through a foundation that bears his namesake, devoted to awareness and funding toward AIDS organizations.
