What I want to let you know is that this album, which has been on my wish list for years, is always a pricey one and almost never found on discogs. I fell madly in love with a few songs from Full Circle with lots of wonderful #percussion by Alejandro Neciosup Acuna, Walfredo De Los Reyes and Don Alias, edited and performed in Jazz Latin Fusion. I first heard them on You Tube, these few awesome songs were uploaded by a best friend and brother, Dean a.k.a. "A Jazz Man Dean", obrigado ♪ ♫ 🎹

Lauren Desberg was born into to a musical family. She has been living and breathing music since day one. Desberg discovered her love of jazz while attending the prestigious Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) where she honed her vocal skills. While attending high school, she was selected to participate in the Gibson-Baldwin Grammy Jazz Ensembles, the Brubeck Summer Jazz Colony and performed with ensembles at The Monterey and Playboy Jazz Festivals.

Desberg attended Berklee College of Music in Boston on scholarship and graduated in 2012. While at Berklee, Desberg won the ASCAP Foundation’s Leiber and Stoller Music Award. She sang with the Beantown Swing Orchestra and participated in numerous Berklee events and ensembles. During her time at Berklee, Lauren recorded her first EP, Sideways, produced by Gretchen Parlato. Sideways and her single I Wanna Be Like You were reviewed by NPR and receives airplay on Jazz radio stations worldwide.

Desberg has been wowing audiences with her vocal prowess from an early age. She has performed at some of the most renowned jazz venues in the country including Blue Note in NYC, Catalina Bar and Grill in Los Angeles and Scullers in Boston. The Harlem-based vocalist manages to simultaneously pay homage to traditional jazz while expressing herself by adding her own organic, contemporary feel in a fresh take on standards performed by jazz greats. Lauren Desberg embodies the spirit of her generation putting her own spin on the standard jazz repertoire. Welcome to millennial jazz.

Herbie Hancock

Real Name: Herbert Jeffrey Hancock (born April 12, 1940) is an American pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, composer and actor.[1] Starting his career with Donald Byrd, he shortly thereafter joined the Miles Davis Quintet where Hancock helped to redefine the role of a jazz rhythm section and was one of the primary architects of the post-bop sound. In the 1970s, Hancock experimented with jazz fusion, funk, and electro styles.

Hancock's best-known compositions include "Cantaloupe Island", "Watermelon Man" (later performed by dozens of musicians, including bandleader Mongo Santamaría), "Maiden Voyage", "Chameleon", and the singles "I Thought It Was You" and "Rockit". His 2007 tribute album River: The Joni Letters won the 2008 Grammy Award for Album of the Year, only the second jazz album to win the award, after Getz/Gilberto in 1965.
